What the “Hill” Were We Thinking!

We (Rachelle, Amber, Amber, Aubrey, Mac, Kelly, Tifany, Sarah, and me) started off with a 2.1 mile warm up. Then we ran a 400 (quarter of a mile) hard around the pond.


After the 400, we jogged over to a side street that has a steep hill. We surged up the hill hard and jogged slowly down for a recovery. We did the hill surge 5 times and then jogged back to the pond for another set (a hard 400, then 5x hill surges).

After the 2nd set was done we went and ran twice around the pond to finish off with a fast 800 (1/2 mile). Then came the recovery run. ๐Ÿ™‚ 1.6 mile recovery. A total of 9 miles at 1:13.28. This was a tough workout! On the last 2 to 3 hills my legs were feeling like jello!

All I have to say is I am so glad we have each other to run these speed workouts! Thanks ladies… Now that it is over, I can say it has been fun! ๐Ÿ™‚ (We are missing Kelly and Tifany in this picture, they had to leave to get back home.)
