Easy Recovery Run

September 20, 2013

I was going to do an easy 40 minute run on the treadmill, but my mother-in-law (Sarah) offered to come down and watch the kids this morning (at 9:30). My husband (Corom) and Sarah went for their 14-15 mile tempo run early this morning so I didn’t have time to go out on my own. On a side note… this was Corom’s 1st and only long run of the summer. I can’t remember when he went out and ran last (he gets out once every 2 weeks-if even that). And, yes, he is doing the St. George marathon also! I don’t know how he does it, but he does. Anyway, Sarah came at 9:30 and watched our 2 younger kids (and 2 others that I babysit). I was able to get 42:10 minutes in. It felt great. I went slow!!! I could have ran anywhere from 4 to 5 1/2 miles… I wasn’t paying attention. It just felt good to do a shake out run and not to be doing it on the treadmill!
