Morning Run/Personal Training

October 1, 2013

I got up at 4:45 a.m. and walked out my front door at 5 to 5. I went to lock my door and out of the corner of my eye I saw this…

It looked like a person with a whole lot of hair… I’m not going to lie, my stomach didn’t a little flip and it kind of freaked me out. Anyway I met up with Melissa and Scott at the track for their work out. These 2 have been so fun to work with! They have a desire and passion that most people wish they had. I meet up with them once a week for their speed days and help them out with a workout. It is amazing in the short time I have been meeting up with them how far along they have come (mentally and physically). And it is by no means from me… They are the ones that are working for it and they want it. You can make out 2 silhouettes in the dark on the track. :

After I went and met up with Rachelle, Amber and Julie for a 6.7 mile loop. We ran 2 mile warm up, then a 2x 1 mile tempo with a 2 minute break in between. (My 1st mile was 6:18 and the 2nd was 6:15… Wouldn’t that be awesome if I could hold that pace for the entire race.) I felt good and I think mentally it was nice knowing that it was not a lot of speed today. 🙂 That is the laziness coming out of me. After the tempo we finished off with a 2 mile cool down. Good times!!!

That is awesome that you get to watch your trainees blossom. Great job coach!

  2. It really isn’t me! They are the ones that do all the work. They work so hard!!! I just stand there.
