Morning “Windy” Run
Today was a good run. Amber and I ran the “dairy ” loop (it has quite a few hills in it). It was very windy this morning and as any runner knows, sometimes you really love the wind or dislike it. For one of the hills, I really loved it. A huge gust came and brought us up that beast faster than what we intended to do. I was also told to be grateful for running in the wind. It will improve your form so much if you are running against it. It helps you drive your arms and your body will naturally lean forward (that was one if the things Hawk talked about in one of his clinique’s). So I guess you could say it was a mini Fartlek workout. š We ran 7.2 in 53:55. I felt good and pushed hard on the up hills! I do LOVE hills! š
I tried taking a picture (with the flash on) but it still didn’t turn out so well. Despite the wind and cold, it was still a beautiful morning. Thanks Amber for running with me!
