A 16 miler, Track Meet, India Food!

January 25, 2015

Saturday: I began my day with a 16 mile run trying to stay with Jeff. I felt a little sluggish at first and kept thinking this was going to be the longest run. But once I loosened up, I was able to change my focus on trying to stay in stride… I was pushed and felt uncomfortable at times but I have to admit that I like that feeling (when I’m done running). πŸ™‚ It is also nice being able to have someone to follow!

2015/01/img_7375-0.jpg Oh and someone who wears a Garmin! πŸ™‚ The rest of my day I spent at the indoor track meet for the HS kids… It made for a long day but so exciting to watch. This is their 1st meet so it is always fun to see where they are at! Our too male finished 2nd overall (out of about 60) in the 2 mile, we had quite a few PR (which is way exciting because this is the beginning), and we had a few that are a little out of shape but it’s all good. πŸ™‚

2015/01/img_7376.jpg Corom, the foreign exchange student and the girls hung out at the house. From my understanding they had fun (well the girls and the FES… Corom organized :)). My oldest had a friend over and then she went up to her house…

2015/01/img_7331.jpg I left the meet early so Corom could go with some friends somewhere (Elder’s quorum thing). That evening a babysitter came over and hung out with the foreign exchange student and played with my kids, while Corom and I went to PF Chang’s with the Fullmer’s for Amy’s birthday. πŸ™‚

2015/01/img_7377.jpg We came back… Had a couple of visitors…

2015/01/img_7378.jpg These two beautiful girls are on the track team. They had their formal senior dinner/dance and stopped by on their out. πŸ™‚ So fun! The Fullmer’s and Corom and I watched a movie (well a neighbor called Corom needing his help with something so he missed most of it… But it’s all good). πŸ™‚

Sunday: We went to church today. The girls were really good! We had great speakers and the classes were great. I love when the girls are good during sacrament meeting… It just makes the rest of the day pleasant. The foreign exchange student (she’s from Bangladesh) made dinner for us (and the Barney’s). It was so good!!!

2015/01/img_7379.jpg It was fun to learn her way of cooking! We dropped her back off at her host families house, came home and the girls went straight to bed! I’m tired and will go to bed early myself.
