After dinner and before scouts (for Corom), I went visiting teaching (visited other ladies in my church to see how they are doing) and then we had our evening Christmas activity. The girls pulled the paper out of the calendar for day 3…

The activity was to decorate the tree…

The girls then put on a little skit… It was simply amazing! 🙂

Corom went to scouts (the Boy Scouts and the leaders are plowing people’s driveways around the neighborhood), I put the girls to bed and put on a Hallmark Christmas movie (Z worked on homework).
It has been snowing all day and it has not let up! I love it (except for the driving in it part). I worked at the Clarion Manor in Payson for a little while today. They had a lunch event and I was glad to be doing something indoors that kept me busy! And as I mentioned before… I really enjoy working there (great food, great people that work there, and good fun).

I picked the 3 girls up from our neighbor’s house (the Stokes), then the 2 older ones from school (Z, our Foriegn Exchange student from HS and my oldest from school). We came home and went on my 2nd round of shoveling…

Corom was able to come home a couple of hours early because of the storm. The sheriff made the anouncement at the jail that any employee that is not essential in guarding the inmates should go home… So Corom’s department went home. 🙂

I met up with Melissa at 6 this morning in Payson (and we picked up Rachelle at 6:15). When I walked out of my house, there was no wind and the snow was nicely falling. I debated whether to go back inside and grab my face mask, gloves and an extra jacket but decided not to because it was the lighter fluffy snow. I drove into Payson and it was a little windier… Melissa and I started and running in the snow and wind was hard. We could not see, our faces were cold and the snow was hard and it hurt our faces as it hit! We ran back to Rachelle’s place and told her she had to come with us. We ran the same 2 mike loop back and forth. We wanted to stay close to our cars. 🙂 Running out was nice and enjoyable with the wind and snow against our backs but turning around on the loop was the real adventure. I don’t know what the other 2 did but I tucked my chin down to my chest, had my eyes barely open and would put my hand up to shield my face. Our pace did pick up every time we ran back just so we could get done with the pelting, hurting snow. At the end my head felt like an ice helmet. Good times! We ran 6.7 miles in 53:36.65.
After Corom got off work and I sent the Cross country kids off on their 7 1/2 mile Fartlek run we went up Spanish Fork canyon into Thistle and cut our Christmas tree down. We were able to get a tag this year…

We all had a turn at using the saw…this is Z (our Foreign Exchange student) taking her turn.

Corom finished it off (the rest of us struggled with the saw… Corom made it look easy).

It was so much fun doing this together, trying to find the right one (well for Corom trying to find the “perfect” one). The girls loved it.
We then had a few people over for Family Night (the Barney’s, Erdmans, Johnson’s, and J. Anderson and L. Crockett stopped by and hung out). We wrote letters to the 2 servicemen from Salem that are away for the Holidays serving our country. I put a package together and everyone came over and expressed their love and gratitude for them (on paper). 🙂

We don’t know who these 2 men are, so hopefully they don’t find this weird. 🙂 I do have so much love and feel so much gratitude for the people serving our country!!!
We then celebrated our friend’s little girls 1st bday… It was fun!
I met up with Mac, Aubrey, Beth, Amber and Trish… We all ran different miles today but Amber and I got 8 miles in. We did it in 1:02.58 (a little less than an 8 min pace). I felt good this morning. We saw so many runners/walkers out this morning… it was great to see that! I came home and got in 65 sit-ups and 30 push-ups.
After I helped in my kindergartener’s classroom. My 2 younger ones came with me today…
