Corom had the day off today, so we made a list of things that needed to get done. It is nice being able to check things off. Once Corom finished raking up all the leaves, he put it in our garden box and began the process of burning them. He came back inside to work on another project… Well he went back out to check on the fire leave pile… He noticed our fence caught on fire. Only Corom…

You can see that it burned a whole through the fence… I guess I will find out soon enough if our neighbors read my blog! 🙂
Oh… On a side note, I didn’t run this morning. I needed a break today! 🙂
I love doing this workout with the high school kids for 2 reasons… 1st reason: it is a great hill workout that we do.

We have a about a quarter of a mile loop for the 1st hill we run. I started them today with the 1st round being 20 minutes of non-stop running. We do a double surge on this loop. 1st surge is along the straightaway and then they surge again (a continuous surge) as they head up the hill. They are tough! They take a recovery at the top and come down easy and then back up for the surge.

After the 20 min they stopped for a 2 minute rest, then a 7 minute light jog around the park, a 1 min rest and then to the 2nd loop. This was a continuous 15 minute run but the loop is about a 600 instead if a 400. I had them run hard up and recover down. They did a 10 min warmup and then a 10 min cool down.
The 2nd reason I like coming here for this workout is because my kids are so good and entertained (I had 3 extra kids for half the practice so this place was perfect).

The kids were great today and had a lot of fun! My kids actually joined in on the workout for a little bit of it. I was proud! 🙂
My 3rd child has a really hard time saying many of her letters and words. I have been bringing her to speech class/therapy once a week at the elementary school for about a year now. It has done wonders!!!

Even though she is only 5, I can tell a difference in her confidence when she talks to people. People still have to ask her to repeat what she says but not nearly as much as before! It has been so good for her. My youngest does great in there just playing with the play house.
Rachelle and I went out for a 6.8 mile run (she went a little further… I had to get back home). I ran it in 53:21.31. My butt still hurt for the 1st half and then it loosened up. It just feels like a pinched nerve… So annoying but the chiropractor said I didn’t have to stop running. I am also going to set up an appointment with a sports doctor to see what’s going on. Anyway, we ran a nice loop and the weather was perfect. The morning was beautiful… We had to stop and take a picture.

It is pretty impressive (or sad on my end) that my 5 year old can take better pictures than I can! We went to the store together to get her a piñata for her birthday party. Of course the piñatas had to be on top, stacked…

We invited everyone in her church class and in her preschool class. We are using all the candy we got from Halloween to put in her piñata. 🙂 It has been so good for our girls that we take them out on a one on one. I get to take out my 4th next week and then it will be Corom’s turn. Each daughter opens up and talks more than they do at the house (even the ones that talk a lot). Anyway, we came home from hanging out together and Corom, then left for Scouts. The girls fell asleep by 7:30 tonight, thank goodness! They were so naughty today!!! I wanted to pull my hair out but when I look at them sleeping all those feelings tend to slip away!
