I met up with Julia, Rachelle and Amber and we went for a 7 mile run this morning. It was Windy for the 1st 2 miles and for the last 2! The miles in between, the wind was against our backs and it was lovely! 🙂 We ran it in 59:48.38 (a 8:28 pace). It was a nice run.
At home we (Corom and I) got the girls ready for school quickly. The girls and I (and a neighbor boy) walked to school (it is a mile walk).

It was windy but not cold. I loved the walk this morning and so did the girls!

It is so beautiful out with the different leave colors and with all of them falling off the trees! Loved it!!!

They were able to play on the playground until the bell for school to start rang…
After church Corom, Z, the girls and I went up to my mother-in-law’s (Sarah) house for dinner and Halloween Sugar cookies! Corom’s sister, Yolanda & her family, Gary (Sarah’s boyfriend) and 4 of his kids and their families came to eat and decorate cookies… It all went well and we had fun getting to know one another.

The girls love to play in the leaves! But what a pain it is to clean it out of their hair… Some one come help me clean the bathtub! 🙂

We actually got the girls (and some neighbor kids) to help clean up the leaves (and there is/ was a lot). Corom did tell them he would burn it if they helped put it in a pile…
A few friends and I put on a baby shower for 3 other friends of ours that all had their 1st baby boy. It was a fun event and we had a great time. (Especially all the food that was there.)

Corom on the other hand took the girls (minus my 2nd child… she went to a birthday party) and our Foriegn Exchange student and another Foriegn Exchange student to some pumpkin smashing, pig chasing event…

They had fun on the sack slides:

I guess they lifted a 400 lb. pumpkin with a crane and then dropped it…

They were filthy when they got home but they had fun!
Later (after dinner) I took Z to a neighbor’s house to borrow a costume for a Halloween dance she was going to this evening (at the school). She was a little shocked by what she saw in their house…

We tried explaining to her that many people here hunt… She didn’t quite understand the reasoning behind it. I sometimes don’t either but it was funny to see her surprised face when we first walked into their house.
