Here at the high school, the cross country team put on a Halloween 5K community fun run. We had a good turn out this year. I ran it this time with my girls. I usually work the finish line but we had enough helpers that I was able to help Corom this year and push the girls. I had a blast but it was tough!!!

There was one part in the race that had a steep hill… I was a little ahead of Corom and Mike going into the hill. I got to a point that I had to walk pushing all 4 kids and then 10 sec later, I couldn’t push anymore (it was so steep). I think Corom and Mike stayed back on purpose to have a good laugh. Well next thing I knew I had a few people helping me (and we still had to walk even with 4 of us). It was quite the sight…

I couldn’t stop laughing… The rest was a piece of cake (after that hill). I took off with the girls and we made sure Corom and Mike wouldn’t catch up. (The girls kept yelling for me to go faster…) the girls and I finished in 23:58 for a 5k. It was quite the workout and my arms are tired!

Corom and Mike are the above picture and Z our Foriegn Exchange student is in the picture below. She did really well and had fun…

These 3 were our overall female winners… Mac was 1st, Josse was 2nd and Amber was 3rd… I tried to catch them (I would have hit them with my stroller… I am totally joking- I run with these ladies on a regular basis.)

My kids ran in the mile race… They, too, did really well! The 2 older ones ran the entire way and the other 2 ran and walked. None of them had to be carried this year. The high school kids helped a lot!!!
I met up with Aubrey and Mac and ran for 45:15.12. We ran a total of 5.8 miles. It was a beautiful morning and it was not as cold (we also started later). We had a good easy pace and it was great. It was nice to sleep in until 7:15! (To bad I didn’t go to bed until 1…)

Part of dinner was sliced up cucumbers… Need I say more… A little bit later we went to our friends house (the Booth’s) for a little birthday celebration. Good company and good food and desserts.

(That is not me in the above picture… The curly hair throws everyone off.) Our foreign exchange student (Z) and I went to the HS football game. I stayed for a little while and went home (she stayed until it was over). It brought back high school memories. I am glad those days are over!!! 🙂
My 2nd daughter and I went out on a “date” today. I took her to the pet store and she picked out a water frog.

The employee caught the smallest, skinniest, most sickly looking one (it was easy to catch). We brought it home and put it in the fish tank… It didn’t move… My daughter didn’t quite understand why the frog wasn’t swimming around. Corom fished the frog out and took the girls back to the pet store to switch the frog out. Poor thing!
It was so nice today that we decided to work in our backyard (well mainly Corom). Corom would take the leaves and the girls would do their thing and mess it up! But they were sure cute doing it!!!

Nothing like the leaves falling… One of my favorite things to watch is my girls playing in the leaves!

There was a point in the day that I could not find my youngest… I was looking all over for her! Well I found her hanging out where our chickens roost…
I had Joy school at my house today for my youngest this morning. The kids were really good today…

It wasn’t my turn to teach but the other house had sick kids. My 2nd child had an activity in her class that needed parent help and I told the teacher I could help. Thank goodness Corom has Thursdays off! He went to Lina’s class while I taught school.

When joy school was over, I went and picked up my 3rd child from preschool and stopped by to pick up Corom and my kindergartener. The girls wanted to walk home so Corom and my 3 younger walked home from school.

I don’t know where Danica is but Corom probably didn’t either at the time! 🙂
