For family night we started off at the girl’s school fair. We ate dinner there and the girls played on the bounce houses with the other kids.

We then went up to our friend’s house, the Provosgaards, for a family Halloween party. We played games,

We ate some more food and then we carved pumpkins…

It made quite the mess but the kids sure had a lot of fun (and Corom) :):

I told our youngest to smile… Anyway, we cleaned up and headed home (it was kind of a late night for our girls :)). But we had fun!

This cake has a little part in this topic! A friend of mine is moving to California this week and needed some help with packing everything up. She has 4 kids and I have 4 (well 1 of hers in school and my oldest in school) and I thought that it would be a mad house if I brought my kids to her house to pack. So I volunteered to watch her kids and anyone else’s in the neighborhood that was able to go over. I ended up with 8 extra kids plus my 3.

(I couldn’t fit them all in!) I was expecting the hours from 9:30 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. to be total chaos and loud! Well, I was pleasantly surprised. The time flew by fast. ALL the kids were great, lunch time was smooth and there was no fighting. (I did have to change 3 diapers… I won’t get into detail there.) So I rewarded them with cake… A friend of mine, Megan, and her little girl came by during cake time to help and hang out! That was nice to have an adult conversation. After cake the kids went back to playing and I noticed that they were a little more hyper. Other than that… Today’s babysitting adventures was a “piece of cake.”
Amber and I met up this morning for our morning run. We started off and I felt blah, my legs were tight and heavy, and I could not get into a groove. I knew after a mile or two I would loosen up and get into the running groove… but when mile 3 came around I still felt the same. We decided to shorten our run becuase I was struggling. Mile 4… still the same. The last 2 miles were downhill back to our meeting spot and I still felt lousy. We had some great conversations today so I am glad we went out, but I have to admit, if I were running on my own it would not have lasted that long. We ran 5.96 in 47:08. Thanks Amber for putting up with my struggles this morning and sorry for holding you back. 🙂 Now I just need to start taking these again for a while… (I am feeling low).

We went to grandma’s house for her 83rd birthday. She is quite the party animal! This picture is 4 generations: grandma, Sarah my mother in law, Corom and my 4 girls. I tried to get them to take a serious picture (and I took a lot) but in every one there is at least one person making some sort of weird face…

We came to grandmas after we ate dinner with the Fullmer family. Good food and good company! And before the Fullmers we were at church. Church (Relief Society) was great today! Heather (the lady that taught the lesson) did an excellent job and I felt like the message was just for me!!! The girls were not the best today (during the main meeting -Sacrament). 🙂 They were all so hyper. Not just one or two of them, but all 4… Good times! (My 2nd child, 6 year old, did go up in front of everybody and she bore her testimony today. She did a good job and has no fear!)
My oldest went to a birthday party today. She wrapped the present herself…

Yes, it is wrapped in tinfoil… Now I know for sure that she is Corom’s child! For those of you that know Corom, you will understand what I am talking about. For lunch a few of us went out for my friend Stephanie’s birthday. We went to Cafe Rio and had a great time. She is one of the nicest people and I hope she has a great day!!!

We are missing a couple of other ladies that had to leave.

A few cross country girls stopped by my house today with some treats and stayed for awhile to play with my kids! Ahhhh… that was a nice surprise! My kids love the cross country kids.
Corom and I did get a babysitter tonight and we went to dinner (Senior Moose) and a movie…

With a few friends of ours (Fullmers, Warrs and Guenters). The Mexican food was really good and the movie, Captain Phillips, was excellent! I recommend seeing the movie!!!
