You are probably wondering what the top picture is and what it has to do with my running this morning…well Julia, Amber and I were on our way to meet a few other ladies (Rachelle, Carina, Josie, Janae- hungryrunnergirl, Rebecca, and we ran into Julie and Melanie) at the base of Provo Canyon. As I was driving a cop pulls up behind me. My speedometer does not work so I don’t know how fast I was going and then I realize that we don’t have our plates on our car (we have not picked it up from the car dealer yet… We were supposed to get it a month ago…). The police officer comes up and asks me why I didn’t have plates and I explained to him in a round about way that it was due to laziness. Then he asks for my license and registration… Well, I didn’t bring my wallet and our registration is not in the car. He then asks for my insurance card… Yeah… I didn’t have that in my car either. He took down my info and vin number and went back to his car. I thought I would be getting some type of ticket. He came back without a ticket and told me to get the plates taken care of!!! What a great morning for a run!

Anyway, we ran 4 miles up Provo Canyon. It was a beautiful and fun run. No one brought their phone/camera and I am way sad about that! The leaves are changing colors and it was so beautiful. The company with the other runners was awesome and it made the run go by fast. It was neat getting to know some of the other runners better! It is great to share stories, to vent, to listen and to encourage each other, and I feel that that is what running is all about. We ran a total of 8 miles in 1:05.52. It was a good morning run!

Corom and I both worked at the Clarion today (he came after he got off work but went to the other event in Bountiful that they were catering for). I went in at 2:30 and got home at 11:15 pm. I had fun working this event. It was an ice cream bar with all the works… I had so much junk food tonight! It was great. The bride and groom invited Thor tonight!!! That was nice of him to show…

If any of you are interested… The Clarion is doing an Octoberfest next Saturday. It is excellent German food!!! Come with Corom and I. Let me know if you want to go…

I met up with Rachelle, Mac, Amber and Beth (for a little bit). We went for a 7 mile easy run in 58:43. It was my 1st run back from the marathon and my legs were struggling. I felt good, my legs were a different story… they wouldn’t go! 🙂 It did feel good to get out, though. We timed it right that when I finished my run, I would be on time for cross country practice.

The kids ran a 2 mile warm up and then we ran a speed workout. We had the kids run a full out sprint for 90 seconds and when we blew the whistle they would stop and put a marker down. We did it 4 more times and they had to hit the same mark every time. They had a 3 min cool down jog in between.

They finished off with a 2 mile cool down. Nothing to bad today… 🙂
After I came home from cross country the girls and I met up with our friends (the Burks) and went to witness the Angel Moroni being put on the LDS Temple.

It was neat to watch the construction workers at the top of the temple putting Angel Moroni in place.

After we got home, I did a lot of cleaning while my girls didn’t. 🙂 I think they messed up a lot of stuff and played a lot…

After dinner we (Corom, the girls, the Burk family, and I) went to the movie, Turbo. It was really funny!

We came home and I dropped the girls and Corom off (it was way passed their bedtime) and I went to the Clarion Manor (clarionmanoreventcenter.com) to help them clean up after a big wedding they catered. I enjoy working there (especially for the left over food)!!!
