Another Day of Sleeping In

The plan this morning was to get up at 5 am to go to South Valley Gym and do a spin class. I received a text from one of the ladies at 4:44 saying she is sleeping in. I liked that idea, so through another text (that early) we all decided to do a spin classfffgggggggtytgggyyyyykkkkkkkklaaaaannnnnnnnnnnd starting next week. What were we thinking anyway… There is no school today and tomorrow, so it is not like we have to rush home and get ready. I am going to take another day off of working out. I might as well take this entire week off. Mentally this has been good for me!!!

Soccer Game & Doctor Visit

My 3rd child had her soccer game tonight (and I coach her team). The other team scored on us, I believe, 4 times… It was fun to watch… Chaotic but fun!

That’s her in the blue jacket. After we had a late night doctor’s appointment. What I love about my doctor (Dr. Fullmer) and his office is they are open 7 days a week and Monday through Friday they are open until 9 pm. Saturday and Sunday I believe they are open from 10 to 4. It is great! Especially when I had to take one of my girls in tonight at 7! I did bribe them with the push pops to be good there…

It worked for awhile until the push pops were gone! Now I have sugar hyper kids! Well at least more than half the doctor’s visit was calm. 🙂

Cross Country Practice

The cross country team went on a 8.7 mile hill run. The 1st 4 miles was a gradual to steep up hill and the next 3 1/2 miles was a good downhill. We had the kids pick up the pace as the reached the top to come down.

The last mile plus was flat and we had them use that as their cool down. The route was so pretty (especially with the leaves changing on the mountains). The kids were pretty tired when they were done!

Slept In

I set my alarm this morning so I could meet up with Rachelle and Amber to go for a easy 4 1/2 mile run, but I accidently slept in. I hate when I do that but I was so tired! We didn’t get home from our football game until 10:30 and of course I stayed up a little later (to eat a snack and watch a little TV). After the game last night my right leg (the one with the rod in it) was aching so bad! I was hoping that I would sleep it off but waking up this morning there was still an ache. It is not to bad, though. The week after the marathon is the only week I ever really feel the rod (and I think a lot has to do with football because of the sprinting and stopping on tired legs…). Anyway… I missed my run and on any other day I would be upset, but because it is the week after the marathon I am okay with not running. Sorry ladies… Hope it was a good one!

Women’s Flag Football Game

We played a double header tonight. It is funny that 1/3 of our team ran the marathon so it is kind of funny to watch some of us try to run. We did win our 1st game, but for the 1st half the other team was down 2 players. They actually played a good game and were a fun team.

Our 2nd game was a little more intense. We played a team that we have always lost to (half the girls play rugby so it is a little tough not to be intimidated). But not this time… We had a neck to neck game. We scored, then they did, then I don’t know the rest of it with scoring, but we won. 🙂 It was tough but a lot of fun.
