The girls started off the meet. (We just had 2 races. All the girls combined and then all the boys next.) The girls ran well. We had some of our girls that really pushed themselves beyond what they thought they were capable of. It was great to see! We had a little more than half PR on this course from when we ran it earlier this season.

Our boys ran excellent! Our top 8 boys fought so hard for that varsity spot (7 spots). I felt bad for the 8th runner. He worked hard but missed the spot by a few seconds (but the top 7 worked just as hard for their spots). They were racing to be in varsity for region next week. All the rest of the boys also ran hard. There were only a few that did not improve. It was a good meet.

The girls to a close 2nd and the boys took 1st. It was great to see all the parent and family support at the meet today.
My youngest and I went with my preschooler on her pumpkin patch field trip. Oh what a blast!!! I did ride with another mom and her kids (and a couple of other kids we were in charge of). Thanks Nancy… It was nice having an adult to talk to. 🙂

We went through a corn maze, played in their little play area, went through the haunted mansion, and picked out pumpkins…

I went to a cross country meet and then straight to my 2 older girl’s soccer game.

Amber, Mac, Aubrey, Julia and I all met up at the High School this morning and went Walking! We walked for 37:37 and went 2.1 miles! I have to admit that I was really excited to go walking. It did feel nice on the legs. 🙂 I never did get warm though (my hands were so cold). I am used to warming up after about 10 min of running. This may sound weird but walking was very foreign to us (we are so used to putting in a certain amount of miles). I liked it! 🙂
We had our family home evening tonight. (Monday nights are set aside for us to spend time as a family together.) After a short little message and our family “business” (which was all about the importance of going to the $ store), we finally decorated the front of our house with Halloween stuff.
The kids started off with their warmups, core, and agilities.

We then sent them on a 5.4 mile moderate run today. I wanted to send them out for a little bit longer run but they ran a hard hill workout this last weekend and we had to start practice at 4 pm (an hour later) due to school rules. The kids were hungry and anxious to get home. We call the run the Bunny Loop because there is a house on this loop that has a ton of bunnies.

They finished off with a 2 lap cool down (shoes off on the grass) and then 5 strides.
