We sent the kids on a mile and a half warm up. We then had them run 5×1200 repeats at 2 mile to 5k race pace. The 1st 4, we wanted them to hit a consistent time. The last one on fatigued legs they had to run 2 to 5 seconds faster. It was tough. After they ran a 2 mile cool down. The last 1/2 mile was on the grass with shoes off.

I met up with Amber this morning at the canal dirt road/trail. It was dark and windy. My 1st thought was, great one of us is going to break an ankle. But, it ended up being a great run. The sun came up over the mountain about 20 min into the run. It was beautiful and very peaceful. My legs were sore from this last weekend (Amber felt the same but she was also getting over the flu). It felt good to be off the pavement! I ran 8.7 miles in 1:07.16.
