Mother Racer

I started off on a dirt road and ended on a dirt road… Very beautiful morning! I ran a total of 1:01.34 by myself (and then ran/walked another 30 min with my sister in law all on the dirt road). So I ran a total of 1:17.16 (with a 5 min walk before the 16 min and a 5 min walk after). We had a good time out together. On my run I started off at a slow, easy pace and then picked it up to just a moderate pace. Nothing to intense. I did turn up a highway and ran a 17 min uphill! It was gradual for the first 5 minutes and then became steep for the next 12 min. It felt great to reach the top and to turn around and run back down. I do love hill climbing!!! It was a good run. My legs did feel a little heavier towards the end of my run but nothing too bad. Later today I will get in my car and figure out how far I ran…

Today we went to church in my parent’s ward (LDS church). It was nice being able to go with my mom (my dad wasn’t able to go… He did something to his leg and can barely walk 😦 ). We then played games

Prepared some foreign food…

And played outside together. It was 70 degrees today!!! So nice.

We then went for a nice Sunday walk…

Was distracted at times during our walk…

And found a park during our walk (hence the pictures up top)…

That is me being pushed off one of the toys there… It was kind of fun riding one of those.

We discovered the slow- mo on my phone and became obsessed with it at the park… This is just one of the things we recorded…

We (my mom, 2 foreign exchange students, Jarom and his family, my girls, Corom and I) took a trip and met up in Monterey Bay. We went to “The Aquarium”. My mom was able to round up 15 tickets… There are 16 of us so it worked out great!

There were so many neat things to see!

It was a lot of fun for the kids and a little tiring for the adults. 🙂

We then went to the beach… I told the girls to try not to get wet…

My kids love the beach!!! We also went to a monster park known as Dennis the Menace Park. It is huge and there were tons of people.

Then a new friend we met. 🙂

Yeah… I kind of dared this man to go down and he did… Pretty awesome!

It has been a long but fun day. We love coming to grandma and grandpa Hansen’s place… There are a lot of fun things to do.

The best thing about this run was that it was my easy day. I ran a good chunk of my run on a golf course and I loved it! It was nice not knowing where I was going, I just went. It was a beautiful, peaceful morning. I ran for 1:02.30 by myself and then an additional 11 minutes with Z and A (the foreign exchange students)…

I don’t know how far I went or what pace I was running; all I know is I felt good and ran a total of 1:13.12. Good, easy run…

The girls had a fun time this morning with their cousins! We were at Jarom and Christina’s house (we got to their house shortly after dinner last night).

We then headed to my parent’s house in Hollister, CA. The traffic stopped 3 miles before our exit. We were so antsy to get there (it is a 3 hour drive from Jarom’s to my parents). Well Corom pulled off onto the shoulder of the freeway after waiting 20 minutes for only going 1/2 a mile. He drove on the shoulder for the last 2 1/2 mile… It worked well even though I was arguing against it. 🙂

The girls were so excited to see grandpa and grandma!

We had fun today. We went and saw the movie “Frozen”, played games, checked out lights, etc…
