My Aunt Georgia came to visit us this morning. My girls were so excited…

We went to lunch… Subway. The girls were really good! 🙂 After Aunt Georgia left, the girls and I went shopping for their dad (Corom)… Yeah… I didn’t technically get him anything for under the Christmas tree. I have a couple of gifts for him but nothing to open. I will let you know in a little bit what I got him and the rest will be for tomorrow. We delivered the rest of our neighbor’s gifts and then came home. I told the girls they could watch a movie while I took care of Christmas “stuff” (wrapping presents). They were excited because I only allow 2 movies a week (I know weird)… Well this is how far I got…

Yeah… I kind of fell asleep. We then played outside, Corom got home from work and I came in to get the rest of dinner ready. The Fullmer’s, Carter’s, and S. Booth came over for our traditional Christmas Eve dinner…

We had Lamb Gyros, grape leaves, cheese puffs and lemon rice soup. It was so good. We all had a good time.

The girls then opened up one of their gifts (from A. Georgia), got the goodies ready for Santa, and spread reindeer food outside…

I gave Corom one of his gifts tonight and Amy Fullmer gave Mike one of his… We then had them trade…

It was pretty awesome! I ordered it about 8 months ago and have been hiding it for so long. Later another good friend of ours dropped some goodies off… This was pure accident and they didn’t see this but what is wrong with this picture? 🙂

Pretty hilarious! Now it is late and we are doing last minute Christmas stuff…
We didn’t start our run until 6 but I was so tired. I went to bed way too late and I felt it today. We (Mac, Amber and I) went on a 10.3 mile run (Harry’s Hill loop). It took us 1:25.02. I was dragging today. The plan was to tempo down once we reached the top but I was happy with just to keep running at the same pace… Now it is 9:15 am and I am ready for a nap. Happy Christmas Eve! 🙂
I put the girls in their room at 9 this morning and said you can’t get out until it’s clean… I called them out when it was lunch time (at 11:30) and nothing has been touched…

I put them back in their rooms and finally by 2 p.m. they cleaned up their room. It was nice for Z (our foreign exchange student) and I because I was able to start the process of my Greek food making for our traditional Christmas Eve dinner (Z learned how and helped me).

We made grape leaves! 🙂 So good!
I let the girls invite some of the neighbor kids over (when they were finally done with their rooms) and they went out and played in the snow. It was a nice day for them to get out. They started to build a snowman…

We then delivered more neighbor gifts…

Went to another Christmas party…

Drove around The Pond again to see the lights (on Z’s request)..

Then we had our final 12 days of Christmas… The people left such great things! They have made our month!!! Last night they left pancake mix and a spatula… Well today my spatula broke…

Perfect timing! We then made some more Greek food… Z and I worked on the cheese puffs and Corom worked on the sauce for the Gyro’s…

We had a few friends stop off at our house while we were doing this… It was fun hanging out.

Thanks BFF… You brought back elementary, junior high and high school memories of all the other people wearing their BFF stuff and me never getting one. 🙂 This is something I have always wanted.

I met up with Mac, Aubrey, Amber. Trish, and Beth the Elf… She came with the Christmas attire this morning. 🙂 It was a great run this morning. We ran about an 8 min pace per mile (1:27.14). I ran a little over 10 1/2 miles and if I didn’t have so much to do I would have went further. Well maybe not. When we did finish, it took Aubrey a good little while to get into her car. We all tried different things to see if we could get her key pad to work… I think Beth took the best try award…

I think breathing hot air on it did the trick. 😉 Eventually she got it open and we all went on our merry way.

On the 12th day of Christmas our pranksters gave to us… A face full of snow that made me want to cuss.
They revealed themselves tonight, but not before they gave us a good fight. (With marshmallows)
It was a nice family from the cross country team, along with a few teammates. They did a great job of clever well thought out escapes.
But something happened that was more exciting than eggnog, and that is when they asked, “did we make the blog?”
It was fun to see what they would bring!
Other fun things for the girls, Corom and I were the fun treats we received from friends and neighbors. We have made great friends here… Couldn’t have asked for better in both places that Corom and I have lived…

We have another fun 12 days of Christmas going on and that came in the mix of everything. It has been so fun for the girls to wait for the “Elves” to come every night. We also had time today to deliver more neighbor’s gifts. We have about 30 more houses so we are almost done. We don’t do anything big. This year we are giving out small candy canes in a bag with a little note that says, “All candy canes aside, you’ve mint a lot.”

More than one of my kids got tied up today (and so did Corom)…

I guess you could say… Never a dull moment! Thanks to everyone… Good times!
