We had a knock on our door with a nice surprise!!! There were carolers on the street singing while Santa came inside.

The girls were a little Santa shy at first but were so excited. They were jumping up and down after he left! Santa did say Corom was on the naughty list… They got a kick out of that one.

It is a little embarrassing to admit but I think I was just as excited as the girls were!
I didn’t have my phone all day because it has been at the sprint store… Something was messed up with it. I am glad it was fixed for this event tonight! Thank you to the dear friends/neighbors that sent Santa to us and sang us songs!
We went up to our friend’s house (the Olson’s in WH) for a Christmas party. A few other families came (the Fullmers, Roundys, and Levitts). We had a good time!

There were a lot if little kids there (especially girls)…

I was so happy when we got home and saw that 3 out of the 4 girls were asleep!
We (Amber, Holly, Mac and I) went for a run. We all ran different distances and times today. The roads were so icy in many spots that it made it very interesting. Our 1st mile was a little over a 10 minute mile. To be honest, it felt really nice today! Well not when we had a fall and a few slips… But pace wise this is what my legs needed! I ran 7 miles in 1:00.04.
So today was one of those days… I know we all have them but it still isn’t fun to have them. I know I was way tired today but I wish that I was not as grumpy as I was, to my kids and Z. All the girls cried and fought a lot today. I feel bad because I had 4 extra kids and they will go home thinking I am a mean mom! Sorry Z and kids! I had to go to my room for a few minutes, ask for help… Well it did get better! I had scouts today. Z (our foreign exchange student) was actually our guest speaker…

The boys came up with good questions and she answered away. After dinner, the girls, Z and I went and drove around the pond to see the lights for our Christmas activity. (The girls had a special treat while we drove the pond.)

We then went to the senior center (nursing home) for my oldest’s 2nd grade class. The teacher had blankets made (in class) and all the kids sang and delivered them to the elderly. The teachers are so good at their elementary school!

We came home, settled in and then we get a knock on our door… (We have a couple of 12 days of Christmas going on). This is what one did tonight. It is a fun, prank one…
As you can see, my day turned around! There are so many great people and so many good things and I need to remember that life is good and my kids are so great! Z has been a blessing in our lives and I am grateful for the bad days so I can love the good even more!
I met up with Mac, Amber, Beth, Aubrey and Trisha. We ran a loop that went up Harry’s hill (a mile long hill that is pretty steep up), then headed up towards WH mailboxes (another nice little climb… Well not so little). It was a good run. I ran a little over 10 miles (about 10.1 10.2) in 1:22.0. It was about an 8 min pace overall. Now that I am home I can feel some lactic acid buildup in my legs. They are a little tired.
A great way to start off the day…

We heard a thump this morning as we were getting ready for school. Our youngest (3 year old) decided to climb the tree to get an ornament she wanted. As you can see, that didn’t turn out to well. Her hair also got caught in the lights.

Then for our Christmas activity for the day we had the girls door-bell-ditch our neighbors (horrible picture)…

And of course we got caught! 🙂 Now Corom is off to scouts and then to basketball practice. He is coaching one of the teams for the city for the 9th and 10th graders…
