Cross Country Practice (2 Days Before State)
We sent the kids off on a 4.78 mile loop. It was a nice and easy pace more for their mental sake before State. Both the male and female Varsity teams made it to State.
They are excited and ready to go. We hope (just like every other coach) that everyone comes together that day and runs their best race. A few are struggling mentally with nerves (it is their 1st state race)… But if we can help drive those nerves into the right direction, they should do well.
The 2 pictures up top show the kids plugging their noses and running pass a huge manure pile… Don’t let them trick you. They love running pass this dairy farm that is full of cows with the stinky smell that comes with it! 🙂 J/K. It really is bad for about 30 seconds to a minute of the run. Anyway…
We have a great group of kids that have trained so hard all season! I have loved coaching this group and am so excited to watch them race on Wednesday (State)!
Oh and we did have 2 “Super Seniors” come back (they can’t stay away from us…):
