Harry’s Hill Run

January 8, 2014

I met up with Mac, Aubrey and Amber.

We ran Harry’s hill loop. It was a nice warmup to Harry’s and then I ran hard up. I forgot to check my watch to see how fast that mile was going up but towards the end my legs were like jello and I wanted to stop. It is a steep mile incline up. I ran back down to the last person and turned to run back up with her. We continued up (once we all grouped back up) to the Woodland Hills mailboxes (another 1/2 mile steep climb). I didn’t push it as hard up that hill as I did Harry’s because I wanted to do a 3 mile tempo once we reached the top. I ran a 6 min pace for the 3 miles (having it on a nice gradual downhill helped my time). 🙂 After my tempo, I turned around and went back up to meet up with the ladies again. I ran a total of 10.6 miles in 1:17.35 making it a 7.20 pace. Nice run but I have a lot of work to do with speed!
