Super Bowl Sunday & Fallen Officer Candlelight Vigil
For someone not too into football (me) we sure had a busy day… 1st off, I went to bed way too late last night. We had church at 9 this morning. And of course we didn’t give the girls their showers the night before… So all of that was this morning. After church we went up to my sister’s house for lunch. My mom goes home tomorrow so my brother & his family and my family went up for lunch. We went to the Booth’s house right before the Super Bowl game started. Nicole B. was in the middle of making cupcakes… Corom took over to help out.
Right before half time we headed up to our friends the Fullmer’s. More food and fun… The game wasn’t going so well for the Broncos but I didn’t even know who was playing until the day of. 🙂
We left a few minutes earlier and drove down to the Spanish Fork ball fields for the vigil for Sergeant Cory Wride. He was shot and killed in the line of duty. He served in our county… We didn’t know him but felt the need to go show our love and support to his family.
I was actually asked by KSL 5 News why we decided to come…
I tried a few times to upload the 2 1/2 minute news report but I will figure it out tomorrow.
So many people showed up to show their support… It was an amazing sight! You could feel the love there as a community.
