Morning Easy Run

I went out for a 9 mile easy morning run at 5:30 a.m. It took an 1:10.03. I felt okay this morning… After doing a lot on Saturday (and being on my feet all day), not getting enough sleep this weekend and over eating yesterday… I guess that was to be expected. It is amazing how much sleep and nutrition plays a huge role into your work outs and every day routine! I do need to discipline myself more with these 2 categories but it is so hard for me. I love food… Junk food and I love to stay up late after the kids are all in bed. I do pay the consequences and feel it in my workouts! The nights I get good sleep, I feel very refreshed and ready to go.

  1. I wrote about this very thing yesterday — after slogging through a rough 9-miler myself. I had eaten badly, wasn’t hydrated, and had poor sleep (partly b/c of the kids and partly my own fault). I wish it were easier to find balance!

    I agree! It is so hard to run and feel good when you are tired.
