I met up with Rachelle and we went for a 6.75 mile run in 53:12.17. We went at a nice easy pace (but I still felt like I was struggling a little). I know that this “tiredness” will pass…
I went from biking straight to cross country practice while Corom took the girls home. The kids went on an “adventure” run for 45 min today. The day after region, we typically let them go on a fun run to shake out all the pressure that was built up for region and to be relaxed going into State. They ran well! I had to leave practice a little early for scouts today.

We are on our artist badge this month. The scouts were enjoying cupcakes they decorated. The boys left and we had dinner. After dinner, my oldest and I went out on a one on one “date” to a pet store.

She picked out a sucker fish for our fish tank (that only has a crawdad in it).

It was great talking with her and having this time with her. It was much needed! Corom and I go through spurts of taking our kids out on one on one dates. We need to keep up on it!!! We came home and the kids got ready for bed. I had to leave to go to my football game. The girls on my team are so much fun!!!

We did lose our game, but we had fun doing it. 🙂
On my way home I stopped off at a friend’s house (Camille) to support her in her Jam-bury nail party. If any one wants to get these nail products let me know… They are really neat and they have a runner as one of the designs!

I got home at 9 and the girls were sleeping and the kitchen was clean. Awesome!!!
After I watched my neighbors 3 month old and after I picked up my 3 younger girls from school Corom, Mike Fullmer and I went up Payson canyon to go mountain biking. Amy Fullmer dropped us off at the top of the trail and she and my kids drove to the bottom to meet us. She broke her toe so she wasn’t able to ride. 😦

It started off a little muddy but nothing to bad… As we got down a little further we ran into snow packed trails.

It took us an hour and a half to get down. We were so muddy and my bike could not handle all the mud towards the end… The brakes stopped working because it was so caked with mud, my chain fell off twice and my gears stopped working. But it was a blast! Oh and my tires wouldn’t spin when to much mud and leaves built up.

I wish we had a picture of us after we were done!!! I had to take off right away because I had a cross country meeting before practice. Fun times!
I met up with Rachelle and Julia this morning. We started off together for the 1st couple of miles and then Julia took a shorter loop. (She is tapering for her 50k, 30 mile race this Saturday… Crazy… :)) Rachelle and I ran an 8 mile loop in 1:02.14 (about a 7:30 pace). She did a Fartlek (1 min on 1 min off) and came back to me after the minute fast. I noticed that my pace would pick up every time she took off, so I did a mini speed workout. I was feeling it, even though it was not that fast. 🙂 Oh what the marathon does to me… It was a good run though and I am glad I got up to go. With it being so dark and cold, I have been struggling. 🙂

Today was the cross country regions (finals)… The JV girls and Boys raced extremely well. We even had one of our top JV runners (hoping to make varsity for state) get trampled and pop back up like nothing happened and continue his race. One if our guys took 1st overall in the JV race.

Our varsity runners also ran well!!! I loved seeing the kid who is yawning up above at the starting line! When you yawn at the starting line of any race it shows that you are relaxed nervous… That probably doesn’t make any sense but it means that you have things in control and your ready to go. Anyway our girls placed 3rd overall as a team and our top female placed 3rd overall in region. It was great to watch her finish strong.

Our Varsity guys placed 1st out of the teams and 4 of our guys placed in the top 9! It was so fun to watch. Our top guy passed the guy ahead of him with about a 400 (1 lap around the track) to go… So he took 1st in region! He looked so strong with his finish!

I believe almost everybody (Varsity and JV) ran their PR today. They were pretty happy.

Corom took a break from work to take our 3rd daughter to her soccer game. She played well and had fun. He dropped the girls off at the meet (we were doing the awards when they came). After we left with our new foreign exchange student. My girls were so excited!!! This will be fun for us to have her stay at our home for the school year.
