My alarm went off way too early this morning. We (Beth, Mac, Amber, Aubrey and I) met at the track at 5:15 a.m. (This is Beth and I.)

We started off with a 2 mile warm and then began a speed workout of 400’s. I ran a total of 13 400’s (1 lap around the track) with a 200 meter recovery jog (1/2 a lap around the track).
1st: 1:27 ; 2nd: 1:27; 3rd: 1:27; 4th: 1:27; 5th: 1:27; 6th: 1:26; 7th: 1:27; 8th: 1:26; 9th: 1:24; 10th: 1:25; 11th: 1:26; 12th: 1:27; 13th: 1:25. We finished off with a 2 mile cool down. The 400’s felt good (it took the 1st 2 to get into it) and of course my legs hurt throughout the workout but I was able to keep going. The cool down seemed to hurt more than the workout. 🙂 So I found a pile of ice on the ground from last night’s track meet and took advantage of it…

It was a little cold. 🙂 These ladies pushed me this morning and I am so grateful for them!
Corom and I went to the school early… I worked at the book fair and Corom and the girls had pastries and milk… How cute! 😉
My 3rd went to speech class…

Friends came over and found all sorts of stuff to do to keep themselves entertained…
At track the distance kids went on a 50 minute (5-7 mile) recovery run. And my girls played in the sand or tormented the other kids or tried to join in.

I had scouts today… We had to deliver bags (the canned food drive) to every house in a certain area today. We just had the boys run up and down the streets/neighborhoods.

I took my 2 older girls to SEP’s (parent/teacher conference)…

Then Corom and I went to meet up at the church for a little bit. Now it is time for me to go to bed! I’m tired.
Oh… This is the project my oldest daughter is working on…
Today I started off with a 7 1/2 + mile run with Amber. My legs were tired and my body was tired! It was a beautiful (dark) morning.

After running errands, kids playing (neighbor kids, too),

I headed off to our 2nd track meet of the season…

All of our kids raced well and the distance team made me so proud! 🙂 I love watching them race, PR, and try their best! They are good kids!
After the meet I met up with Rachelle W, Janae (hungry runner girl), Amber D, Josse T, Julie H, and Kristen for a birthday dinner (for Rachelle and Kristen).

These are some of the ladies I run with. They are my inspiration, my rock and my motivators! They are all so uplifting and encouraging and I love that we all want the best for each other. Great women and I am a better person because of them. We had a nice time visiting and it was fun to see all of them with normal clothes on and not their running clothes. We were able to talk the server into singing happy birthday…
At home Corom put the girls to bed and helped our oldest with her school art project… She has done everything herself but the part of connecting the clay together. Corom had to show her and then let her do the rest… I will post the picture tomorrow because Corom already wrapped it up and put it away. It is looking good!
I started off my day with a nice 1:00.55 run. My legs were so sore from the 10k on Saturday! It has not been this sore is sooo long!!! It was a nice steady (shakeout) run. I was able to meet up with 5 others for most of my run.
I love the color green! So I decided to wear all green today (thank goodness it was St. Patrick’s day)… The rest of the family followed.

And of course… The girls built a trap today to catch a little elf. They “saw” a few but never caught any. 😦 We did have the chocolate chip green pancakes and the green lunch.

I worked in my kindergartener’s class today… I was able to peek in on my daughter at times… 🙂

At track it was windy and cold. The kids went on a 6 to 7 mile run. They finished off with strides and 2×50 leg hops. We do have a meet tomorrow with 4 other schools.

Oh and I felt like I was back in high school again… I was made fun of for all my green. 😉 But the kids expect it from me too.
We had a little dinner with everything green and the corn beef… With a few neighbors as well.

It was a fun evening. After everyone left we tucked the girls in… Had a little family time and then relaxed and went to bed.
We went to church this morning and my 3rd child gave a talk in primary today. She was so cute and did a great job. On our way home, we noticed our neighbors (Carlisles) were behind us… We played a little joke on them and at the end result they ended up at our house for some lunch. We combined food, let the kids hang out while we visited. It was very pleasant.

They left and our other neighbor’s (Erdman’s) stopped by for a little while and dropped off a karaoke machine. Oh, my girls were so excited (Corom and I were too).

The girls were put into time out quit a bit today!!!

As they were leaving, my neighbor Melinda came by for a visit. Later, We dropped her off and the family and I headed up to the Warr’s house for a barbecue. He coaches with me at track (the javelin coach). The Fullmer’s and Guenter’s were also there.

Good times…
Later in the evening my friend’s, Stephanie and Camille, picked me up and we drove around in steph’s new car… It was nice!
Hilary and I woke up bright and early to get ready for our Spectrum 10k…

I decided that I was not going to get into race mode with it being my 1st week back. I ran a 20 minute warmup on a trail… So beautiful!!! (I am kicking myself for forgetting my phone:().
The race began and there were about 15-20 ladies in front of me for the 1st mile. We crossed the first mile and I looked at my watch… 5:30!!! Before I go on, it was a very aided mile downhill. Steep downhill! Miles 2 and 3 were also downhill with a few up (a rolling down)… Still fast and aided. I felt great and began to move up… That is when my competitive side took over. I can’t help it. 3 1/2 miles later we were out of the canyon and on the main road. I was in 3rd place now but didn’t think I could hold onto it. I was so winded by mile 4-4 1/2… The downhill took it out of my legs. 3 1/2 on was flat and up-hill and one short downhill close to the finish. I felt my endurance struggling! 🙂 I finished off with a time of 37:44 and I was able to hold onto 3rd. I was tired!!! I went on a 13 minute cool down. My legs were shot and so sore. But I am glad I was able to run this race.

My friends ran well! Melissa, Jay, Scott, Hilary, Amber, Jeff, the Moody brothers, Mike, Amber, Tyann, etc…
Hilary and I drove home right after… I went straight to a neighbor’s house to help clean. They are moving and had to be done by tonight.

Great family and we are sad they are moving. Corom was with the girls today and they were working with the clay again. My oldest is working on her art project for a school contest…

I noticed our dog “Kittie” was all white… I went outside and realized she tore apart my youngest’s pillow.

Corom and I went out to dinner with our friends the Booth’s and 4 others that we just met (well 3). We went to Buca Di Beppo. The food was great!!!
We came home after dinner and Corom and I and our friends decided to watch a movie. We got a knock on our door… There was a note for Z (our foreign exchange student). It was from a boy asking her to Prom. We (Z, Amy, Nicole and I) left on a scavenger hunt to find out who asked her out…
We had so much fun taking her around. She was so excited!
