Oh how I really dislike day light savings!

We went to bed really late last night (with family all in town)… And having to get up in time to make it to church by 9 was really not fun! Surprisingly, the girls were pretty good. I think they were in a zone.
After church we went our friend’s/neighbor’s house for lunch. They made us a roast with Elk meat and another roast using deer meat. I have only tried deer jerky and didn’t like it, so I was a little hesitant to try this. It was soo good. Both the elk and deer was good! I actually went up and grabbed more meat. Thanks N & J, we had a great time!

Our kids played around with theirs… It was pretty funny watching what they were doing even though we didn’t quite know what they were doing…

We went to another friends house for dinner…

Good food and good company. It was a beautiful afternoon, so we enjoyed being outside!

We have great neighbors/friends all around us! It has been so fun getting to know everyone!
We went home and put our kids to bed at 7… They all fell asleep within 15 minutes. Yes… They were tired! And so am I. We stayed up though to do a lot of folding and putting away of laundry… Yeah! 😦
I think I am going to try running tomorrow to see how my foot feels. Wish me luck!
Let’s see… I started off my day with spin class at South Valley Gym…

I rode for 53 minutes. We used hand weights for a few of the songs and I loved it!
We went up to Yolanda’s house (my sister-in-law) for breakfast and pretty much the rest of the day. Corom’s 2 older brothers are still here visiting.

The cousins played all day… They went hiking, 4-wheeling, etc. The “older kids” got in a air soft Gun fight with all the younger boys… It was fun to watch.

I snuck away for a couple of hours to attend a friend of mine (Julia’s) baptism. She is a running friend of mine. She began to learn about the LDS faith (Mormon’s) and read the Book of Mormon and made the decision to be baptized into the church. (Which if any of you want a Book of Mormon, I can get you a free copy :))… Anyway… It was great!

After I returned to Yolanda’s house a high school friend, who I have not seen since HS, came over to visit. She lives about an hour and a half away from us now. It was sooo good seeing her!!! She is a beautiful person inside and out. Thanks Amber for making the drive out!

After my visit with Amber, the family and I (all 22 of us) went to a movie (we saw the Lego movie) and then went to Cafe Rio. 3 out of 4 of my kids got a free quesadilla. We scored on that one!

We all cleaned Yolanda’s house; even the kids! They did a pretty good job! The kids played some more and then we brought them home and we all went to bed. Good night! 😉
We did 2 things today and that was it! My kindergartener’s Kindy 500 and my mother-in-law’s wedding.
The kindergartener’s started off with a parade of their box cars…

The kids were split into smaller groups (there were 3 different kindergarten classes). Another mom and I had 12 kids in our group (3 of them were mine :/). We went to different stations and each station had a different speaker…

And of course Corom was asked to be Abe Lincoln. He did so good!!!

Of course my 2 younger ones were put into time out after giving them 30 warnings…

After the Kindy… We met up with all of Corom’s family for lunch and hanging out.

Then we went to help/watch/hang out at the wedding…

It was a very nice ceremony! The Bishop that married them did a great job. Both Sarah (my mother-in-law) and her new husband, Gary had their spouses pass away. The bishop talked about their first marriages and tied it into theirs beautifully! They are happy and Gary’s kids are a lot if fun! Corom and I really like him and his family.

After the cleaning up was done, we returned back to my sister-in-laws (Yolanda’s) house and hung out there for a couple of hours. My kids were so grumpy by the time we left but at least they fell asleep within 5 minutes of putting them to bed. Oh…. I didn’t exercise at all today!
Well… After I got the kids off to school (I had an hour and twenty minutes to myself) I rode the bike. Yeah… I rode for 1:05.04.

For the afternoon… The girls played with their friend here at the house.
I had a few saving graces today! As many know, my foot injury is driving me nuts. I do have my good days and I do have days that I struggle… Which any runner would know what I’m talking about… I just want to go out and start training again and I fear that I won’t reach my goal by the time I wanted to. Which is fine, but it is just hard. Well… I had a dear friend stop by today (Beth). She brought by some goodies for me and reassured me that it is all good…

It really made my day! My dear friend Julie A. has been sending the most uplifting messages… Josse has helped give me pointers on different ways to cross train… Etc… I have great friends that are such great examples. Corom (my husband) has also been so great! He has also been very supportive!

Anyway… At track practice the kids went on 1 1/2 mile warmup. Then ran a 2 mile tempo at 1 minute slower than their mile race pace with a mile recovery jog after. They lined back up and ran a mile at 45 seconds slower than race pace with a 2 mile cool down. It was a tough workout but they did well. I do have a lot of my kids complaining about shin splints.

They obviously iced after the workout and we will work on strengthening their muscles around their shins.
After dinner, the girls and I ran up to help with my mother-in-laws wedding (it’s tomorrow). Corom had scouts… We spent a little while cutting up fruits and vegetables. It went by fast with all the help.

After, we hung out with my in-laws for a little while and then Z (our foreign exchange student) and I went to her piano recital. She played really well!
Anyway… The kids went to bed a little late (9). They played with their cousins while I was at the recital. Corom then went to play basketball with some neighbors and I was able to sit and watch T.V. and relax. 🙂
I took my 3rd child to speech therapy this morning (after we got the other 2 off to school)…

She is improving… Some days are better than others with her speech! Right before we left, my 4th child (once again) got into the markers…

She said she had to put on her makeup for the day. I don’t know where she gets it from because I don’t own any makeup (except for mascara that I put on probably about twice a week) and I don’t even know how to put it on! Well… We had a lot of comments all day.
I rode the bike for 30 minutes today. Nothing big. I had to hurry and get some type of workout in and get ready before my kindergartener got out of school. A few other moms and their kids and me and my kids stayed at the school’s playground for awhile to let the kids play… It was a nice day…
I helped my kindergartener with her kindy 500 car…

The girls and I went to track practice. I sent the high school kids on a 5 to 6 mile recovery run and my girls played in the long jump pit. 🙂

I had scouts today so I combined them with track. 🙂 We worked on geologist and showmanship. The scout boys walked around the track area looking for different rocks and identifying different minerals. It was a little busy but it worked just fine.
I fed the girls (and Z- our Foriegn exchange student) and then had to run up to my sister-in-laws (Kymbra) baby shower. It was fun… I was able to visit with people I have not seen for a while.

Z stayed home with the girls tonight (she wanted to get things done here so I left the girls with her).
After putting the girls to bed I went and did a 36 minute swim workout. I didn’t have to much time tonight to swim. (Corom had to work late tonight and I had to get Z a couple of things). By the time I was done helping her out, it was 9:20. It was a good pool run swim… I am glad I was able to get something in.
