My Run, Cookies, Scouts & Projects…

February 19, 2014

I woke up this morning (5:05 a.m.) to meet up with a couple of ladies. I felt lousy… I am coming down with a head cold. I started to feel it yesterday. Anyway… We began our run and I am so glad it was an easy day. After a few miles I began to loosen up and feel a little better. It was nice to run at an 8 minute pace and give my legs and body a rest from the hard and intense workouts. I ran 8 miles with the other 2 (Beth and Mac) and then continued another 16 minutes (2 miles) by myself. I ran a total of 1:19.29 minutes. I am hoping to run this cold I am getting right out of me. 🙂

I took my 3rd child to her speech class (along with my 4th)…

It went okay… My 3rd child didn’t really want to be there today, but we got through it.
The girls had friends over today… They helped me make and eat cookie dough…

I had scouts today at my house. We had a teacher come talk to them about the education system. The boys were so respectful… I was shocked and impressed. 🙂 We did have a little “talk” on how they should act and they did great.

We did our normal Wednesday night routine (with Corom working late). Z (our Foriegn exchange student) came to me right when I put the girls to bed and said she had a project due tomorrow. She had to make a brain out of food… So I took a trip to the store (she watched the kids) and I bought a loaf of round dessert bread and frosting…

Thanks Megan for letting me barge in and get your cake decorating stuff.

My friend Camille came over in the mix of all this and we sat down and watched the Bachelor. (Corom came home and finished helping Z). 🙂

  1. That brain looks so awesome! Very creative.

    • Thanks… It was actually pretty easy. It was a loaf of bread (a round/oval loaf) that we hollowed out. Then with a little food coloring and frosting, and an artistic hand (not mine… Z’s), the brain lines were spread on. 🙂 It is fun having a teenager here to do all these high school projects.

    Awesome. Z. You did great.
How did Koula’s peacock project turn out?

    • Z took 1st in her project… She was really excited! The peacock is coming along… She has 3 to 4 weeks to get it finished. We can talk her through it but we can’t help her at all. She is doing good, though. Thanks Mary! You are the best!!!
