Another Game Lost :)

20131022-212522.jpg
We had a football game tonight… And we lost again. We are actually playing strategically… We want to lose most of our games until the playoffs. We come in as the underdogs and BAM, we win every game in the playoffs! We take 1st and no one knew it was coming. Okay, we haven’t thought that far but that would be nice. Anyway… We had fun playing tonight.

Evening Excitement

Well our Foreign Exchange student is here to stay with us until the rest of school (she is going to have a rude awakening living here with all of our girls). She said she really likes homemade pizza, so for dinner we made pizza.

This one is a pear and Gorgonzola pizza. My favorite! (Our Foreign exchange student loved it!) Corom had a meeting for work today and I guess they dress up in Halloween attire. For those who don’t know, he works at the jail as a therapist. So he showed up to his meeting like this…

He had a mustache and all. His co-workers loved it (his dad used to be a police officer for Sacramento, California). He is quite the character from what I hear…

Cross Country Practice

We had a meeting (talked strategically and inspirational) to the girls and boy’s varsity team before practice. We ran a little over into the time practice started and this is what we came out (with the rest of the runners)…

They were in an intense game of Red Rover. To tell you the truth… It was very entertaining to watch. 🙂 After their game, we sent everyone out on a 20 minute shakeout run. They finished off with strides and went home. I am so excited for them to race tomorrow! They are ready! I am just as nervous as they are!!! Now I wait for tomorrow…

Dairy Loop Run

I met up with Amber, Rachelle, Melissa and Scott this morning.

We ran a 7 mile loop through town (we call it the Dairy Loop because we ran pass the dairy farm). 🙂 I felt really good today. My legs are finally coming back! It took us 50:55.31 minutes. It was a great run with great company!

Cross Country Practice (2 Days Before State)

We sent the kids off on a 4.78 mile loop. It was a nice and easy pace more for their mental sake before State. Both the male and female Varsity teams made it to State.

They are excited and ready to go. We hope (just like every other coach) that everyone comes together that day and runs their best race. A few are struggling mentally with nerves (it is their 1st state race)… But if we can help drive those nerves into the right direction, they should do well.

The 2 pictures up top show the kids plugging their noses and running pass a huge manure pile… Don’t let them trick you. They love running pass this dairy farm that is full of cows with the stinky smell that comes with it! 🙂 J/K. It really is bad for about 30 seconds to a minute of the run. Anyway…

We have a great group of kids that have trained so hard all season! I have loved coaching this group and am so excited to watch them race on Wednesday (State)!
Oh and we did have 2 “Super Seniors” come back (they can’t stay away from us…):
