I know I do this to myself but what a busy day (and every day seems to be just as busy)! I dropped all the girls off to their schools (elementary, preschool & joy school). I came home and cleaned (I can get a lot done with no kids at home :)). I had some time before our youngest was done so I visited an elderly lady (the Larsen’s). I picked up all the girls, babysat for a little while, went to the Clarion Manor to help cater a lunch, then went straight to cross country practice (the kids ran 5 1/2 easy recovery miles), came home and got the girls ready for their soccer games (g-goat/grandma fed them dinner – thank goodness) and went to their games. One was at 5:30 and the other at 6:30.

They did well and had fun. As soon as I got home, I helped Corom and all the scout boys get ready to go in their bike ride. After they left, the girls and I finished up homework, got ready for bed and did the whole bedtime routine before they finally fell asleep… Busy!!! It feels good to sit down and write. 🙂
I met up with Rachelle this morning. We went out for a 8.35 miles and it took us 60 min (7:15 pace). We did throw in a Fartlek this morning. We warmed up for a little over 2 miles, then ran 1 min hard and 30 to 45 sec easy (recovery) and then repeated that 12 times (12×1 min hard 30 sec to 1 min easy). We finished off with a 2 mile cool down. We didn’t do all out sprints with the 1 min hard but we pushed pretty hard. It felt good.

We went to one of the track coaches house for a family night swim party with desserts (it was for all us track coaches and our families). It was a blast. I love all the coaches I coach with! We get along so great and our families get along great!

My girls are little fish… They did not want to get out…

And of course I was tormented the entire time. Coach Walker kept squirting me with the dang water gun (while Corom was laughing and taking pictures… Not cool). 🙂

And then after I got dressed and began to gather the girls to get them dried off, Coach Vantassel’s boys (and husband) thought it would be hilarious to throw me in… Not too funny but mission accomplished.

We had the kids do the downhill mile repeats… Everyone did one, a little more than half did two and only half finished out the 3rd one. These are tough but as coaches we were surprised by the number of kids not finishing out the 3rd one. We do have a good group of runners so I guess we weren’t expecting that outcome. For those that ran all 3 they did well and ran them hard! As I said before… They are tough.
I woke up at 5 am to meet up with Aubrey, Mac and Amber. We ran 8.1 in 1:04.22 (8 min pace). My legs felt great today! This is what my legs needed today. My stomach was a different issue. It was churning this morning while I was running but thank goodness nothing dramatic happened! 🙂 I was happy to see this when I got home…
