Lots Going On… Oh And Corom Bought A Bus…

Friday: I met up with Danny for an 11 mile run. We went at a good, talking pace but did have to climb a few good hills.

IMG_7760 I helped the girl’s elementary school with their assembly this morning. It’s always fun to go in to the school and help. I thought I would be overwhelmed or too busy to be the PTO (PTA) president but it has not been bad at all!!! I do have a great committee, though. I am not the most organized so it helps that everyone else is!

Processed with Moldiv I took my two younger girls and another little girl I babysit over to the junior high for a lunch cook-off. A couple of my neighbor/YW girls were in the competition, so we went to support them.

Processed with Moldiv The girls went to a friend’s house (until Corom got home from work), while I headed up to a track meet at the Olympic Oval. Our team raced well tonight. We just had the mile run, the 400 and the 4 x 800’s… But with just those 3 races, it made for a long night (I believe there were 24 heats of the mile alone). So many HS runners competing!

Processed with Moldiv I got home around 10:30 and we went straight to bed.

Saturday: Early morning for all of us… I had to head up to the 2nd part of the track meet and Corom took the girls with him on a 3 hour drive (one way) to pay a guy for a 12 passenger van and a bus that he wanted. :/ This is why I hate going to track meets… I always come home to something new at my house! (Granted… The guy only charged Corom $1500 for both… He just wanted to get rid of them.) Now we shall see if they run ok.

Processed with Moldiv He did take the girls to some hot springs for a swim and then for ice cream. 🙂

Processed with Moldiv

Processed with Moldiv For me… I spent the day at the Olympic Oval for the 2nd day of the track meet. I was able to talk one of the coaches into running with me. I was so grateful and it turned into a great run. I thought that I had to keep up with his pace and he thought that he had to keep up with mine… Yep… It turned into a great workout! We ran 13 miles total.

IMG_7761 We got back just in time to watch the 1st distance races start (the 800’s). I am so proud of the kids (not just the distance runners… The sprinters and field events also performed well)!!! 90% of them PR’d today and they were so excited. It was a good meet! I know this is just the beginning of the season and we have a lot of work ahead of us but it sure is fun to see their excitement at the start of the season!

Processed with Moldiv During the 200’s (97 heats of 200’s :/), a couple of the girls we coach and I went ice skating on the rink that is in the middle of the track. 🙂 (Sarah, I thought of you and your ice skating days when I struggled just to make it around the rink once…) It sure was fun but the skates rubbed my ankles raw.

Processed with Moldiv A few girls in our neighborhood wanted to do a movie night at our house tonight. We didn’t care… So about 8 or 9 kids came over for a movie. My girls, of course, had to act up! They get so excited when people come over…

Processed with Moldiv Corom and I ran to a wedding reception for just a few minutes… It’s always fun to run into people you haven’t seen for awhile!

Processed with Moldiv I guess you could say, it was a very in uneventful day. 😉

Running, Meetings & Playing

Wednesday: I met up with Beth for a 11 1/2 mile easy run. It didn’t feel so easy, though. My legs are dead. I’ve been trying to build my mileage up and I am such a baby… I just feel flat! We ran it in 1:23.22. I babysat (the 2 kids) and had a YW’s girls camp meeting at my house. My youngest and Megan’s little girl took my phone during the meeting… Almost 150 pictures later, she gave it back. 🙂

Processed with Moldiv I lost a bet earlier this week, so I had to buy my friend Stephanie, subway!

IMG_7567 Today was Corom’s late night at work but he surprised me with flowers! I was shocked. When we 1st got married, I told him that I am not a “flower” girl. I think it is a waste of money… But it was so nice to have him 1st come home for a few minutes and 2nd to bring flowers with him. 😉

IMG_7568 He was a bit of a grump earlier… So he did apologize. 🙂 Tonight, I was in bed by 9:30! It was nice.

Thursday: I met up with Amber this morning for a 11 1/2 mile run. We ran Harry’s loop and I helped Amber tempo down at the pace she wanted. We ran about a 4 mile tempo (all around 6:30 pace… Give or take a few seconds)… It felt good and I was glad I was able to help Amber. We ran our run in 1:24.14 (a 7:17 pace). Corom had the day off… He had the opportunity to do a session at the temple (I get to go next Thursday :)). Corom got back in time for lunch so we decided to go to the girl’s school and have lunch with them.

Processed with Moldiv A track today, the kids went on an easy 6 miles and finished off with 3-5 strides. We also celebrated coach Vantassel’s birthday! 🙂

Processed with Moldiv At home all the neighbor kids were over helping Corom build a jump for their bikes! It was fun watching them; especially Corom as he was acting like one of the kids!

Processed with Moldiv He and I both had church meetings tonight… So the girls and I went together to mine. I’m part of the “party” (I guess activity) committee for our ward (church). 🙂

IMG_7606 It was way past the girls bedtime by the time we got home. They went right to sleep and so did I shortly after.

Running, Hanging Out & More Running!

Monday: I met up with Amber, Aubrey and Mac at 5:30 a.m. I was able to run 7 miles with them and then ran 3.8 more on my own (10.8 total… 1:19.55). It was about a 7:34 pace and it felt good. I’m getting way excited to start the training all over again. :/ I came home to a day of babysitting and cleaning. I didn’t have a lot of energy today so I tried to truck along. I did take my youngest and the baby (6 month old) to the library for reading time.

Processed with Moldiv The girls went to the neighbor’s house while I went track practice. The kids went on a long run up Harry’s hill.

Processed with Moldiv Corom took our 3rd daughter out before dinner and Family Home Evening. They had fun but he forgot to take a picture. The Barney’s came over (another family was supposed to come over but the dad became ill :()… So we brought dinner to them, then came back to the chaos.

Processed with Moldiv I went over to a neighbors house to see the 2nd half of the bachelor. 🙂

Tuesday: I was able to get the girls off to school before I went out for my run. I met up with Walter for a 8.5 mile run at a 6:52 average pace. I did finish off with 10 in 1:09.53. (I ran 1 1/2 miles before he came.) I had to hurry to get ready so I could go help in my oldest daughter’s classroom.

Processed with Moldiv Track practice was great today… The kids ran a Fartlek run (2 min on, 1 min off). I went out with them but without the Fartlek and I cut it short. 🙂

Processed with Moldiv I ran an easy 4.1 miles in 31:17 (7:43 pace)… It felt good to loosen up my legs. After dinner I was able to take my youngest out on our mommy daughter date. 🙂

Processed with Moldiv Corom had to go to church meetings and I had a few ladies come over for Bachelor (again)…

IMG_7404… Yes the picture was staged with the cell phone thing. 🙂 Good times! I will have to say that it is 9:30 and my eyes are so heavy!!! Too much running today. 🙂 (14 total)

A 16 miler, Track Meet, India Food!

Saturday: I began my day with a 16 mile run trying to stay with Jeff. I felt a little sluggish at first and kept thinking this was going to be the longest run. But once I loosened up, I was able to change my focus on trying to stay in stride… I was pushed and felt uncomfortable at times but I have to admit that I like that feeling (when I’m done running). 🙂 It is also nice being able to have someone to follow!

2015/01/img_7375-0.jpg Oh and someone who wears a Garmin! 🙂 The rest of my day I spent at the indoor track meet for the HS kids… It made for a long day but so exciting to watch. This is their 1st meet so it is always fun to see where they are at! Our too male finished 2nd overall (out of about 60) in the 2 mile, we had quite a few PR (which is way exciting because this is the beginning), and we had a few that are a little out of shape but it’s all good. 🙂

2015/01/img_7376.jpg Corom, the foreign exchange student and the girls hung out at the house. From my understanding they had fun (well the girls and the FES… Corom organized :)). My oldest had a friend over and then she went up to her house…

2015/01/img_7331.jpg I left the meet early so Corom could go with some friends somewhere (Elder’s quorum thing). That evening a babysitter came over and hung out with the foreign exchange student and played with my kids, while Corom and I went to PF Chang’s with the Fullmer’s for Amy’s birthday. 🙂

2015/01/img_7377.jpg We came back… Had a couple of visitors…

2015/01/img_7378.jpg These two beautiful girls are on the track team. They had their formal senior dinner/dance and stopped by on their out. 🙂 So fun! The Fullmer’s and Corom and I watched a movie (well a neighbor called Corom needing his help with something so he missed most of it… But it’s all good). 🙂

Sunday: We went to church today. The girls were really good! We had great speakers and the classes were great. I love when the girls are good during sacrament meeting… It just makes the rest of the day pleasant. The foreign exchange student (she’s from Bangladesh) made dinner for us (and the Barney’s). It was so good!!!

2015/01/img_7379.jpg It was fun to learn her way of cooking! We dropped her back off at her host families house, came home and the girls went straight to bed! I’m tired and will go to bed early myself.

Dates, Fun, Craziness & More!

Wednesday: I met up with Beth for a 10 mile, Harry’s Hill loop run. I was tired this morning but it felt good. It took me 1:15.56 to run the loop. I babysat today for a couple of friends. All the kids just played.

2015/01/img_7262.jpg My 2nd daughter (with the cat) was crying because the cat caught a mouse and killed it. :/ Gosh… That is the only reason we have a cat! After dinner I went out on a date with my 2nd daughter…

2015/01/img_7261.jpg And then Corom took our oldest out on their date…

2015/01/img_7260.jpg That night (after the girls and Corom were in bed) a few lady friends and I went to Amy Fullmer’s house to celebrate her birthday!!! We ate lots of junk food and watched Pitch Perfect. Such a funny movie! It was another late night but well worth it. 🙂

2015/01/img_7313.jpg

Thursday: I don’t know how I did it but I got up at 5:15 a.m. to meet up with Mac and Amber. We went on a 8 1/2 mile run… Ran it in 1:09.55. 4 nights in a row of going to bed around midnight and getting up at 5-5:15 has really worn on me! I was tired the entire day. I did help in my 3rd daughter’s class.

2015/01/img_7314.jpg I do enjoy being able to help out in their classes. At track practice today, the distance runners went on a 8-9 mile run.

2015/01/img_7315.jpg We had a church gathering tonight for the women. Corom hung around, too, because he just finished his meeting with the Bishopric. The girls hung out in the nursery room with a couple of the YW. We learned how to make laundry soap and different FHE (family home evening) ideas.

2015/01/img_7318.jpg A few of us went to visit a friend of ours (Tasha… It’s her bday today). Another late night!!! Midnight comes to quickly.

Friday: I was unable to get up this morning to meet everyone for a run. :/ I took the girls to school… My oldest found some shoes she really wanted to wear today. 🙂

2015/01/img_7319.jpg So I let her. 🙂 At home I ran on the treadmill for 50 minutes. I could not go any more! The treadmill is hard for me to run on! My kids love it though…

2015/01/img_7294.jpg I did lots of cleaning today. We are having a foreign exchange student come stay with us for the weekend. So I am getting our extra room ready for her. She will be with us at dinner time… While I was cleaning my 3rd daughter came to me saying she knocked something over. :/

2015/01/img_7320.jpg Talk about the Hulk trapped in a little ones body… She somehow knocked the top bunk bed off of the bottom bed. I don’t know how it happened! The younger one just played in the balls after we boxed them up. A couple of YW came over after school to make cookies… We had so much fun with them. My girls loved it!

2015/01/img_7321.jpg The Foriegn exchange student came just in time for dinner… We headed to the store (in animal costumes) to buy ice cream…

2015/01/img_7322.jpg We came back and watched a movie… The poor girl. Who knows what she is thinking! 🙂
