New Adventures Today

It was a very busy but fun morning. I did start off with a 7 1/2 mile run with Mac. I ran for 59:14.38. I felt ok today. My legs were a little more tired and achy than normal. Hopefully it will pass soon! The girls, Corom (before he had to be at work) and I went with a couple of the neighbor girls to their barn for horse lessons.

It was the girls 1st time at their lessons. I was more nervous than the girls were. They really enjoyed it.

We then went up to the Fullmer’s house for the girls “gymnastics” lessons. Their daughter teaches other little kids the basics of tumbling for $10 a month per child. (It is once a week for 45 minutes.)

A couple of neighbor kids came over to play and then a friend of mine, her kids and me and my girls went to the good old 7-11 for slurpee’s (free slurpee’s today with it being 7/11). Talk about long line! It was mine and my kids 1st time partaking of the 7-11 freebie slurpee. It was rather entertaining!

We had movie night with the girls (Smurf’s 2)… I love hearing them laugh during movies. It is one of my favorite things about watching movies with the girls. Once they were in bed, Corom and I sat down and watched a movie. Our 3rd daughter woke up a couple of times because she had to throw up. 😦 She was the one not feeling well a couple of weeks ago. It makes me so sad. Hopefully tomorrow she will be feeling better.

Girl’s Camp & Back To Summer Activities With The Fam…

Wednesday: I went out this morning and ran for 1:07.55. I met up with different ladies along the way. We ran along the SF River Trail. It was nice run. The girls went back to Zumba and once again had a blast.

20140710-095836-35916442.jpg
I went up to girl’s camp again. More fun activities for the day and olympic fun! We had the Bishopric (Corom is in the bishopric… So that was nice) come up for dinner, campfire fun and testimonies…

20140710-101717-37037079.jpg
Yes me and a couple of the YW did a dance around the campfire… Rather embarrassing. 😉 Corom and I got home late… Once we took the babysitter home, it was bedtime for us! The girls had fun with their babysitters today. From what the girls told me… Lots of playing and lots of treats!

Thursday: I got up way before I wanted to (especially after a long week) and met up with Mac, Amber, Aubrey, Holly and Maddie. I went out for 1:23.19. After an hour of running with the ladies, I turned around and headed back to my car (they went farther). I did a tempo run for the 23:19 minutes. It was hard to do and my legs ached a little. But I was determined to run hard back to my car. Corom and I took the girls to their last day of Zumba. It was a free program that South Valley Gym puts on every few weeks I guess.

20140710-220515-79515314.jpg Well this obviously wasn’t Zumba… This was my girls getting distracted during the class (all at different times). They did have a blast in the class though!

20140710-220800-79680265.jpg
The girls hung around the house today… Corom and I wanted to take them somewhere to go do something fun but they did not get their chores done. It was frustrating! In return, I became very unmotivated to do any “chores” myself. The girls did get into the crafts…

20140710-221020-79820373.jpg It took a while for them to clean up after themselves! Ahhhhh… One of those days. Corom did go mountain biking with Mike Fullmer and Jason Booth. They had fun… I wanted to go so bad but after being gone for the past couple of days, I thought best to stay home. Also to pay babysitters more… Yeah not happening! It was good though. For dinner, thanks to Jenae, I baked a green pepper stuffed with rice and chicken. I added teriyaki sauce for seasoning. It was so good!

20140710-221635-80195466.jpg Later in the evening we hung out with a few friends. I’m really tired and am ready to go to sleep!

Girl’s Camp

Sunday: Well it is Sunday again… The girls were a little difficult in church today. I don’t know what it is about Fast Sundays but they seem to be a little more hyper and everyone who knows me, knows I am a little grumpy when I am fasting. My oldest woke up this morning and said she wanted to fast… We told her she could if she wanted. She skipped breakfast. I was impressed but I made a point that their is no pressure! The money that we would have spent on food goes to the people that need a little more help and support. So we donate it through the church known as Fast Offerings. Their is a lot more to fasting (wonderful blessings, asking our Lord for help and/or guidance, etc.). Anyway, the girls played a lot, fought a lot, teased each other all afternoon…

20140707-105247-39167979.jpg
They did spend a lot of time playing with a bunch of material they got from their grandma (G-Goat). Thanks G-Goat. No messes there to cleanup. 😉 We did have a family over for dinner tonight. It was nice to visit and hang out. Later I put the girls to bed and Corom and a few other guys went up the canyon to get stuff ready for girl’s camp (a few hundred girls and many leaders- myself included) will be going up tomorrow. It should be fun!

Monday: I went out for a 51:58.61 minute run. I was dragging for the first mile… Then I was able to shake it off and get into a rhythm. I did run into quit a few people that I would talk/run with for a little while. It made the run pleasant. The last 2 miles I pushed my pace a bit to an uncomfortable pace. It was good because I have not pushed myself since the marathon. I took the girls to a free children’s Zumba class… It is all week long. They loved it.

20140709-092042-33642529.jpg
It’s at South Valley Gym. After cleaning, packing and getting things ready for the girls… I left for our church girl’s camp. Corom was at work and one of the girls I coach watched the kids. They had so much fun! I stayed over night camping (the camp goes from Monday-Thursday). I’m going Monday, all day Tuesday, come home late Tuesday night and then I will go back Wednesday afternoon until late Wednesday night. The theme for girls camp is the Olympics. Each ward (group) picked a country. We were Greece. 🙂

20140709-093634-34594925.jpg
We hiked, did crafts, goofed around, cooked, passed off different things, played games…

20140709-094143-34903737.jpg
We had spiritual experiences, saw many disgusting bugs, had water fights, did skits, celebrated birthdays, ate good food, had Dutch oven desserts and the girls made good friendships…

It was fun. My girls hung out with aunt Yolanda and their cousins all day while dad was at work. They went to Zumba again then played the rest of the afternoon. I did get a run in on Tuesday morning. I ran the trails around camp. I went for 44:40 minutes. It was beautiful and peaceful!

Trail Run, Organizing & Family Time

I went out for an amazing trail run this morning. I rounded up a few people and we went out on this adventure together.

20140705-223059-81059445.jpg
It was so fun. We found many different trails and different loops. It was beautiful.

20140705-223819-81499771.jpg
We ran for 1:26 minutes and was able to get a little more than 10 miles in. I loved every minute of it. Rachelle did have a little spill but it didn’t seem to faze her.

20140705-231100-83460655.jpg
At home I used my youngest as weights. I need to do that more often. My arms are pretty sore. 😉

20140705-231456-83696788.jpg
My mother-in-law took the girls to a movie while Corom and I did a lot of cleaning. We got a lot done today while the girls were gone. We met up for ice cream…

20140705-231715-83835933.jpg… Then went up to Sarah’s (my mother-in-law) house for dinner. My girls love hanging out there.

20140705-231834-83914151.jpg Rachelle and her cute nephew came over to see the chicken “Ted” that he gave to my youngest. He can’t take it home so he came to say hello.

20140705-232222-84142546.jpg
He is the sweetest young man! Always smiling. The girls went to bed and Corom and I stayed up and watched a movie. It’s late and time to go to bed.

4th Of July Celebrations… Never A Dull Moment

Thursday: What a beautiful morning to wake up to!

20140704-085403-32043363.jpg
I met up with Amber, Rachelle, Melissa and Scott for a good 8.02 mile run. We finished it off in 1:02.42. It felt good and it was so nice to run with them (I have not ran with them for a couple of weeks now). I hurried home and Corom and I met up with a friend (I coach her daughter for cross country and track) to go check out some new trails on our mountain bikes. These trails are about 10 minutes away from the high school. They were amazing! 12 miles worth of trails.

20140704-090406-32646672.jpg
I do love mountain biking! We had a good time. We rode for about 2 hours and then came home. After cleaning and doing chores, Corom and Mike and my 2 middle girls and mike’s daughter drove to Wyoming to get fireworks for our “firework” show for the 4th of July.

20140704-090722-32842937.jpg
They had a little detour on the way home from this adventure… I guess they ran into a couple of hippies that were trying to make their way to the “Rainbow Gathering” outside of Heber City (in the mountains). I guess it was a huge gathering for all those that wanted to show their peace and love and to celebrate their freedom. They said their names were brother Emanuel and sister Alana.

20140704-195049-71449199.jpg
I thought it was a little ironic that on the news this “peace” gathering had a few knife incidents, many arrests and lots of drugs but hey to each their own. 🙂 Always something different and adventurous when Corom’s around. They did get a lot of fireworks out of this trip. 🙂 Every year Corom, Mike and Jason B put on a show for all the neighbors (and whomever else) who don’t have a place to go to watch fireworks. We have a good time. My 2 middle children were not feeling the greatest with Corom’s driving. Mike said it was funny watching them being over dramatic!

20140704-195750-71870744.jpg
Meanwhile, back at the house… My oldest went with G-Goat (Corom’s mom). She took my oldest out for her birthday. She has been in Australia for about 3 weeks… So it is a late birthday outing but my oldest loved it!!! My youngest and I hung out together. We had so much fun!

20140704-195321-71601772.jpg
We watched a movie together, went for a walk, made a chocolate milk shake, made one for our 92 year neighbor (Dottie), and hung out with her for a little while. It was a nice afternoon! We all (Corom and my 4 girls) met up at the Booth’s house for a barbecue and a little firework fun…

20140704-195846-71926364.jpg

Friday- 4th of July: I was supposed to run a race here in town but at the last minute they cancelled it… So I went for a run and ran into a friend of mine. We ran for 44:25.67 minutes. It was a nice run and good company. Thanks Tifany J. After a short time of being at home, the girls, Corom and I went to a small town called Eureka. My friend Rachelle invited us to go with her last year for their small town 4th of July celebration. We had a lot of fun last year that we wanted to go back again this year.

20140704-222227-80547910.jpg The girls rode on a fire truck around the neighborhood and then we had fun “races” to compete in.

20140704-233637-84997920.jpg

20140704-233651-85011531.jpg
They had a chicken competition… All the kids were put into a ring. They would release 5 chickens and whomever caught one could take it home. What do you think… Did we get a chicken?…

20140704-234032-85232908.jpg
My 3rd child actually caught 2 of them and the 3rd one was given to us by Rachelle’s nephew. My girls did awesome in there! 😉 It was fun to watch them team up together.

20140704-234218-85338845.jpg
Oh and as soon as we got to Eureka, my oldest jumped out of the car and had to take care of some car sickness issues. 🙂

20140704-234332-85412750.jpg
We hung out with family and neighbors back at our house. We barbecued and played around in the backyard. (Yeah our dog, Kittie, jumped up on the table when we went inside to start cleaning up.)

20140704-234520-85520246.jpg
We, then headed over to the gym (South Valley Gym) and Corom, Mike, Travis B, Jason B, and a few other guys began our fire work show. A little more than 50 people showed up to watch. It made the guys a little more excited and in return they began to act like little boys. :/ It was very entertaining. A couple of them were burned but it didn’t seem to bother them!

20140704-235321-86001724.jpg
Happy 4th of July!!!
