I woke up this morning (5:05 a.m.) to meet up with a couple of ladies. I felt lousy… I am coming down with a head cold. I started to feel it yesterday. Anyway… We began our run and I am so glad it was an easy day. After a few miles I began to loosen up and feel a little better. It was nice to run at an 8 minute pace and give my legs and body a rest from the hard and intense workouts. I ran 8 miles with the other 2 (Beth and Mac) and then continued another 16 minutes (2 miles) by myself. I ran a total of 1:19.29 minutes. I am hoping to run this cold I am getting right out of me. 🙂
I took my 3rd child to her speech class (along with my 4th)…

It went okay… My 3rd child didn’t really want to be there today, but we got through it.
The girls had friends over today… They helped me make and eat cookie dough…

I had scouts today at my house. We had a teacher come talk to them about the education system. The boys were so respectful… I was shocked and impressed. 🙂 We did have a little “talk” on how they should act and they did great.

We did our normal Wednesday night routine (with Corom working late). Z (our Foriegn exchange student) came to me right when I put the girls to bed and said she had a project due tomorrow. She had to make a brain out of food… So I took a trip to the store (she watched the kids) and I bought a loaf of round dessert bread and frosting…

Thanks Megan for letting me barge in and get your cake decorating stuff.
My friend Camille came over in the mix of all this and we sat down and watched the Bachelor. (Corom came home and finished helping Z). 🙂
I met up at the BYU indoor track at 5:40 a.m. We ran a 14 minute warmup (about 1 1/2 miles+) and ended up on Provo High’s out door track. We began 6 x 1000’s… I was not feeling it at all!!! I knew I was in trouble the very 1st one. I ran a 2:59 800 and finished at a 3:43 for the 1000. 2nd one: 2:53 800, 3:37 1000. 3rd one: 2:57 800, 3:40 1000. 4th one: 2:59 800, 3:44 1000. 5th one: 3:00 800, 3:45 1000. The 6th one I went hard for a 400 (1:24), jogged a 100 meter recover and then went hard for a 600 to finish off the set. My calves were so tight, my legs felt like led and I was not able to go any faster even if I wanted to. We ran a cool down of 24:13.49 (about 3 miles +). I ran a total of 10 1/2 miles. Oh… I was glad when I finished today’s run. I did 2 x 50 leg hops.
My girls had a little friend over today and I took them to the kindergarten playground for awhile. They played while we waited for my kindergartener to get out of school. This afternoon I went to a coaches meeting for track…
After dinner, my oldest began working on a school art project.

She is making something out of clay… And she has to do it on her own… She is excited!

She is working on making a peacock. 🙂 Corom went to a basketball game for the city league that he coaches and I then went to my friend, Nancy’s, house to watch… Wait for it… Austenland. A few other friends came, too.
After getting our girls to finally clean their rooms… I took them up to Thanksgiving Point to the Dinosaur museum and to the petting farm.

As you can see my 4th child doesn’t listen to well when I tell them to stand together and smile for the camera.
It wasn’t as crowded as I thought it would be… We were able to walk through the museum without any problems… The girls had a blast!

Once we finished with the Dinosaurs, we met with my sister and her kids at the farm they have at Thanksgiving Point…

They went on the little horse ride and carriage ride…

They had fun hanging out with their cousins and seeing all the animals…
We came home… Made fondue for dinner and fondue for dessert for family night. We had the Whites over for dinner and family night. My 2nd gave the lesson tonight…

That is Z (our Foriegn exchange student), Jessica W and the girls all participating in the lesson. Good times! 🙂 Now the girls are in bed and Corom and I are watching Austenland… Corom has never seen it and I have seen it 3 times already…
I met up with Blake and Jacob this morning for my morning run. It was a beautiful morning at 34 degrees. We started at the Memorial Park in Provo and headed into Springville. We ran 10.2/10.3 miles in 1:14.12. We averaged about a 7:23 pace. There were some miles that we were running under a 7 (not purposely). Every once in a while we would have to slow our pace down so we didn’t over do it… we are doing our speed workout tomorrow… It was supposed to be an “easy” run but it turned into a moderate run. I felt good, so this pace was a good pace for me! Now on with the rest of my day… with it being President’s Day and no school, we have to clean and figure out something to do with the kids…
I had a good 7 1/2 hour sleep last night but I still felt way tired this morning… I had to get myself and Corom out of bed to get ourselves and the girls ready for church. Church was good today but the girls… Not so much… Not just at church but at home, too. They were hyper half the time and fought the other half today! My 3rd was picked on a lot by her 2 older sisters. It is hard when they do that to her. Anyway… After church we had our friends, the Cornabys over for lunch and then our neighbors, Melinda and Barry came over, Julie A., and Gabby and Abby…

Corom tried getting Julie to hit him with the boxing gloves…

I did not do any form of exercise… Sunday is a day I rest from any of that. I need it physically and mentally! Now the girls are in bed (7 p.m. Is bedtime) and Corom and I are watching a movie… (Z is at a an overnight activity for her program).
