Today at practice before I sent the kids off on a run, I gave the runners a pre-season pep talk. I hope they are as excited as I am. I love it because we have a big variety of runners. We have the top runner who has dreams and goals that any coach could dream of (and he took 1st in Region in CC) with our 2nd fastest kid not too far behind (he took 4th).

Down to the runners that make the team more fun and are on the team to keep in shape and for the social fun. We need them all there! They all have great goals and I hope they can achieve them. It is hard because for in-door track we only meet 3 days a week and then some Saturdays for the meets. Right now very few of the kids run on those other days that we don’t meet… That was part of my speech today. They won’t hit their full potential if they don’t run and do the workouts I give them on their off days… So we will see. They went on a 3- 8 mile run. We have beginners to advanced runners.
On to family night… Every Monday night is a night that we set aside for a time to sit around and talk, have a spiritual lesson, play games, etc. It is a night we all look forward to! Tonight, my oldest, had the lesson.

She did so good and did everything on her own. She talked about telling the truth and had different scenarios that we had to answer. I was impressed! Corom leaned over to me and asked if I helped her… I didn’t! 🙂

I need to remember to never run into a gas station looking this way! 🙂 I met up with Holly and then Mac, then Amber, Aubrey came next, and lastly Trish. Our first mile was really slow due to running back and forth from our meeting spot waiting for everyone. We met at 5:15 a.m. and only 8 degrees. I did run a total of 1:13.01. I kept going after everyone left and we were at 8.3 miles at that point. I didn’t check my time or anything so I don’t know how far I ran… Probably 9.3-.5? I felt good though.
I worked at the Clarion Gardens last night for a business event.

Rebecca at the Clarion needed help and Corom and I could always use extra cash :)… To be honest, I would work for food. Their food is so good and I always get to bring home leftovers! 🙂 This is us working hard…

Corom had the girls and did movie night with the (The Princess Bride). My 2nd child/6 year old, told Corom the movie was too violent. 🙂 We then put the kids to bed and the Fullmers came down to hang out…
Anyway… We had church at 9 this morning. I like going in the morning (especially on fast Sunday’s… Actually it makes it harder to fast until dinner). After church we went to my little brother’s baby blessing. He did a great job! A very cute family!

Corom, the kids, Z and I headed up to the Fullmer’s house for Mike’s birthday cake…
We came home at bedtime for the kids (7-7:15) and began the process of the bedtime routine. I left with my little brother and his wife to go hang out at my sister’s house before my parents went back home. It was a late night, but we had a good time. Love my family!
My sister and brother-in-law asked if I would be on their in-door co-ed soccer team…

I don’t think they realized that the last time I played soccer was back in junior high or maybe high school when we had to play for P.E. 🙂 Hopefully they don’t regret it! I have never been coordinated with other sports… that is why I enjoy running. I was really nervous waiting to be subbed in!

After a few minutes I was thrown into the game because my sister was ready for a sub. I had no clue what to do so I just went after the ball… There were a few times I would close my eyes and kick the ball…

The ball was coming (in this picture above). 🙂 I even had a header. I was pretty excited! I loved playing. I loved the fact that the ball could hit the wall and you still play off of it. There were many times I would kick the ball to no one in particular but oh well…

I ended up playing defense a lot… Go figure (I can be a little annoying, because of running I had a lot of endurance and energy). I would chase after everyone in green as they came down to our goal and then when I had the opportunity, I would kick the ball hard to, as I said before, no one in particular. Before the game, I told my sister I would play this one game for them and then they had to find someone else… Well… I loved it and said I would keep playing; if they would allow it. 🙂

My little brother and cousin are also on the team (maybe we will get into a sibling fight one of these games, just like the good old days…). Corom and the girls (my parents and other family members) watched. Corom is going to play a few games with us. I’m excited and a little nervous at the same time! 🙂 Fun times…

That is my little sister, her family and my parents. It was a great baptism! I think this one meant more to me than any other one because my oldest daughter is turning 8 soon and will be baptized. My nephew asked if I would give a baptism talk…

Thanks to a blog I clicked onto that had great talks on it… I was able to get the “Kit Kat” idea. I think this person got it from Pintrist… It worked out great with having a visual and candy! Corom was asked to lead the music (he was a little late because he coaches a freshman/sophomore city league basketball team and they had a game this morning… It cut it close).

It was a little entertaining! He has never led music before… My Aunt sang a song, my mom gave the Holy Ghost talk, my dad said the closing prayer, my sister said the opening prayer and my little brother and dad were the witnesses. It was a great morning!
