I met up with my friends Rachelle and Julia today. We ran an easy 42 minute run (well Rachelle continued to run) at an 8 to 8:30 minute pace. It felt good and refreshing. My legs felt heavy for the first couple of miles, but continued to loosen up more into the run. I was shooting to run 4 1/2 miles but we ended up running 5.1 miles. Now we will see how Swiss Day’s 10k goes tomorrow. I heard it is a tough course…
(Good luck to those racing in the tri-atholon tomorrow – Melissa, Scott, Jay, etc… I want to hear all about it.)
Practice went well today. The HS kids ran up to 5.8 miles at an easy to moderate pace. They are sore from this week’s workouts. It was also another HOT afternoon. They finished off their workout with strides/accelerators. We have a good group of kids! They work hard with a few complaints here and there but let’s be for real here… Who doesn’t complain? 🙂

Our second daughter’s 1st day of kindergarten. She was so excited all morning (all 3 were excited to go to school)! When Corom and I walked out this morning to get their bikes ready for us to ride to school, this is what we saw…

All 4 girls jumping up and down on the car… We eventually left on our bike ride to school…

It was so hard to leave her at school (everyone said it would get easier with your 2nd, but it doesn’t! I’m still having a hard time with my 1st going to school.)
