I met up with a few ladies this morning and ran the Spanish Fork trail. I ran for a total time of 1:15.10. I think I ran around 9.2 miles total. It was a nice recovery day. I needed it! I was tired and my legs were tired. It took a good few miles before my legs loosened up (a little).
My oldest got a hold of my phone this morning. This actually happens a lot with all my kids…

Then we headed off for school…

I watched 5 extra kids today for a few friends…

Then headed off to a track meet. I had a couple of distance runners PR (personal record), some hit their PR’s, some came really close to it and a few who were way off! 😉 It happens; I was a little disappointed in some of the performances but not in the individual. The mile race was today and tomorrow is the 2 mile and 800. So we shall see how that goes!

The kids are always having a good time at the track meets…

Corom took the girls and a couple of neighbors to Thanksgiving Point. They went through the dinosaur museum, the petting zoo and brought home 3 baby chicks… Of course the girls had to sleep in the same room as the chicks…

As I have mentioned before, we are really good friends with our pediatrician, Mike Fullmer. He came over to pick up Corom to go to a movie and checked out our 3rd daughter’s leg for us.

She keeps complaining about it hurting. We thought it was growing pains but it won’t go away and she is limping now. 😦 He did a few exercises with her legs and wants us to go get an X-ray tomorrow just to make sure everything is ok. I am sick about it… Even though it is probably ok. Say a little prayer!!! I guess we shall see tomorrow!
My Morning run began at Rachelle’s place and we (Amber & Rachelle), ran a loop around her house. I ran a total of 1:07.54 minutes (9.2 miles). I ran 10×1 minute fast 1 minute recovery after warming up for 3 miles. I felt good. I cooled down for a couple of miles.
At home my day became non-stop. We had to hurry and get the girls ready, we dropped them off at school, we (Corom and I)…

Went to South Valley Gym (he talked with his mom and I did my 15 minute weight rounds), we went to the store, went and paid some bills, went on a couple of other errands and then began the pick up of pre-schoolers and our kindergartener.

(That is a picture of our youngest in her joy/pre-school class.) Corom watched the girls (and a couple of their friends) so I could go to lunch with a few friends from my old neighborhood… It was much needed and it was so good to sit and visit.

I have great friends all around me!!! But most importantly… I have a great husband! We have our ups and downs as any married couple does but he is truly an amazing husband, father, man! I cannot express the love I have for him and for supporting me in the things I do.
After lunch, we cleaned and then I went to track practice (for a little while today)… These 3 were excited about practice!

It was an easy day today because we have an invitational tomorrow. I ran into my little brother at track because there was a soccer game going on. He coaches soccer at the neighboring city (the rival school :)). Our school played against his.

I left practice a little early because I had scouts at my house… Corom was around to help keep the boys in line.

Camille (my friend and other scout leader) and I really enjoyed having him there because he took over and the boys listened really well to him. After I made dinner for Corom and the girls, I went to a RS (relief society church function for all the ladies) gathering. We ate and then listened to Hillary Weeks talk and play the piano and sing. She was so good and funny and entertaining! It was very uplifting. I took a bad picture but there was a long line to meet her afterwards and I didn’t have time to stand in line. So I just took a picture of her talking to my friend Tifany. She is on the right.

Her music and the lyrics were beautiful!!! I came home and hung out with Corom.
My morning run was great. I ran 8.5 miles in 1:10… So about an 8 minute pace. It felt good to get out and take an easy day! It was hard to get up and get going at first but after the 1st mile I was able to fall in step. Thanks to the ladies I meet up with in the morning to get me out!!! This was a must needed run… I have a really busy day today and I won’t see my kids that much today. 😦 The girls are really excited to have a couple of different babysitters come over… I first took my 3rd child to her speech class (along with my youngest and 2 extra kids that I am watching for my neighbor).

A little later I went to work at the Clarion Gardens for a buffet style lunch for the hospital.

I love working there not only for the good company but for the food I get to eat!!! 😉
I came home for a little while and then went to a track meet for the high school kids.

They ran well and had fun. It was a small meet and it went fast… I had to leave the meet a little early to hurry home and help the babysitter and now Z (our Foriegn exchange student) feed the girls. Shortly after I had to go to a meeting at Runner’s Corner in Orem, Utah. The Racing Team met together and went over rules and goals of the team. I am on a racing team for our local running store. We earn “points” and those points get us free gear like shoes or whatever. The more you race (in their jerseys) and the higher you place, the more points you earn. It is great motivation for me to train because let’s be honest… Free shoes are real nice.

It was a great discussion and it was fun to hear what others are doing and their goals. Now I am home, it is late and Corom is still working. I will get ready for bed and settle in for the night! 🙂
I had a great speed workout today! I met up with Amber, Rachelle and Melissa and we ran 2 x 2 miles tempo and 1 x 1 1/2 miles at a tempo with a mile recovery in between. We ran a 2 mile warmup and a little over a mile cool down. I ran a total of almost 12 miles in 1:20.45. My 1st set of the 2 miles was a 6:05 and a 5:50; the 2nd set I finished the 2 miles in 11:01 – so each mile was a 5:31 and my last 1 1/2 mile was at a 5:58 pace. I was hurting and my legs were so tired on my 2nd set. I didn’t know how fast as I was going until it was done and I was so relieved to see that I was running faster than what I planned (a 6 min to 6:05 pace is what I wanted to do). I am so bad at knowing my pace… So this Saturday, Rachelle is going to help me with my tempo run and keep me at my marathon race pace so my body will know and recognize that pace. I ran my last 1 1/2 miles slower and it felt great… (Well a lot better than the 5:45 and 5:30 miles!) 🙂 I did feel good though!
At home Corom and I got the girls ready and I have a couple of extra kids today (all day). My neighbor needed some help and I just figure I can throw her kids in with the mix of things at my house. 🙂

My youngest went out to lunch and to the $1 store with G-Goat (her grandma- Corom’s mom) for her birthday. She was so excited and I guess the adventure wore her out…

At track, I think we caught love in the air… A relationship secretly forming. 😉

The distance kids went on a 4-6 mile run and finished off with strides…

The girls went to piano, I then went visiting teaching (visiting) with Nancy to 3 of our neighbors. Then after the girls were in bed, Z and I went to a friend’s house and picked out Prom dresses. Oh what fun! Something I get to look forward to when the girls get older.
I ran this morning with Beth, Mac, Amber and Aubrey… We set out at 5:30 a.m. (I actually ran almost a mile before meeting up with everyone). I felt great and ran 9.2 miles in 1:10.11. It was a good morning and I got good sleep the night before.
I watched 4 extra kids today and then had a informal birthday party for my youngest. I didn’t really plan anything… I just invited the kids in our neighborhood/church that was her age…

A lot of the parents stayed to hang around… The kids had fun! We did a little Easter egg hunt and then had cupcakes (with no frosting… I kind of forgot about the frosting) ;). It was our neighbor’s birthday too… She turned 3 today so we celebrated hers too…

It’s her party… She can cry if she wants too! 🙂 oh and she did on many different occasions!
At track practice half the distance kids ran a hard speed workout (2 600’s at a little slower than mile race pace, 2 400’s at mile race pace, 2 600’s at mile race pace, 4 400’s at 3 to 5 seconds faster than race pace). They ran a mile for a warm up and a mile for a cool down.

The other half (JV runners) have a meet on Wednesday so they ran a warmup and then ran the 2 600’s and ran a 3 mile route. They finished off with strides.
Tonight for family night, my 2nd child gave the lesson and then we played a “animal sherades”. Good times! We went and visited a new family that moved in down the street from us. They are a really nice family!

It took a long time to put the girls to bed! They were on a sugar high!!!

The girls loved this little treat!!! 🙂 Mary and Ceri… You’re the best.
