I began my day with 1:02.55 minute run. I ran with Beth and Mac and it was great! We went easy and I don’t know how far I ran but it didn’t matter. My legs felt great and my foot did.
I opened up my daughters “gift” to me. It was so awesome and special.

The kids played at the park this afternoon and then we went to my 2nd child’s Star Award assembly. She totally tripped walking up the stairs… I felt bad but she played it off like it was no big deal. So it wasn’t! 🙂

At track the distance kids went on a 5-7 mile run and ended their workout with strides.

It was a beautiful day!!!
Z (our Foriegn exchange student) went to a dance tonight. She looks so beautiful!!! A very nice looking couple.

I drove them to the Clarion Gardens for a dinner before their dance.

Then, I kissed my kids and husband goodbye and Hilary Olson and I drove down to St. George for the Spectrum 10k.

It is nice going into this race because there is no pressure. After taking a few weeks off to heal up my foot, I am excited to see where I’m at. Hopefully not too far off… 🙂
On our way down, Hilary had to use the ladies room really bad. We pulled off the freeway and of course everywhere we went the business was closed! We even walked into a hotel and walked up and down the hallway to see if they had a lobby bathroom… Nope. I thought it was funny… Hilary did not. 🙂 We finally found a restroom for her…

Good times! We had some good laughs… Mainly at my expense (other than the restroom). 😉
We made it and stayed at Hilary’s friends house. It was fun!
I went out on a run this morning at 6 a.m. It felt great. I ran for 50:34 and I ran for about 7 miles (maybe a little less). I really felt good this morning. I did start off with Amber but then ran the last half on my own. I was able to reflect on my goals and desires and think about what I want to do with running. It was great. My legs were real achy sore throughout the day, though. Oh well… 🙂
I had Joy School at my house today (Corom had the day off). Corom pretty much took over. It was our St. Patrick’s Day Party. The kids loved him!

We went to a friend’s house (Megan’s) to get Corom’s hair cut…

All his curls are gone but he looks good. The kids and I just played outside and talked with all the neighbors.
We had our 1st track meet today. We hosted it at our high school. All the kids raced well…

It was a beautiful day out. I do like the first track meet just so I can see where everyone is at.

Corom and a couple of his friends worked on his motorcycle (it broke down and they are trying to fix it because his car he drives to work broke down). We are down to one car. My friend, Julie, stopped by and hung out for a while.
Corom and I were climbing into bed and I found a note from my 2nd daughter and this towel thing with a note from my oldest.

My girls are so awesome and now I feel guilty for yelling at them a lot for not going to bed. 🙂
I had a rough day, emotionally! I may get into later in the post or I may not. 😉 I had a busy day but that is nothing out of the norm. My 2nd daughter (6 year old) did her own hair this morning (which is awesome and helpful) and then she went on to do her 5 year old sister’s hair…

I took my 3rd child (with my 4th) to speech class.

She did good today. They worked on the R sound. After speech I was able to ride the bike for 35 minutes. I needed to get some form of exercise in. It was to sweat some emotion out!

I watched a few extra kids today. It was nice because they played with my kids… I had a friend come over and bring me a Reese’s milk shake… She knew I needed a pick me up and it helped tons! Thanks Camille!

At track today, the girls played in the sand, which my 2nd child ended up throwing up in (a couple of times) because she had sand thrown in her mouth by my youngest. It was in front of the entire team… Yeah, I felt bad for the long jumpers. Oh well… What do you do? 🙂

The distance runners went on a 5 1/2 mile recovery run. They ended off with strides. They like these runs!

I had to leave because I had the scouts coming over. Fun times… The boys put on a little skit for us (my kids, Camille, her kids and I).

I took the girls (Corom had to work late tonight) and we went with our friends/neighbors to feed their cows and all the little baby calves. We had a blast! It is so much work and time for these guys. Amazing!!!

I really was fascinated by what they had to do for the baby calves. The ones that needed more nourishment, they had to catch and give them medicine…

I wanted to take a baby home with me!

The picture in the middle is of a newly born calf (just a little earlier). So cute!
Anyway… I learned a lot and my kids loved it! Thanks Nancy and James! That meant a lot and was fun!
The girls went to bed (after our bedtime routine) and I headed off for pool running/swimming. I was in the pool doing a pool workout for 45:00.
I went out for the 2nd day in a row on a run… Oh it hurt! It took me a few minutes to get going! My legs were sore… But I was happy to be out there. My foot felt good and after my run I have done almost everything I could to keep it well…

When my neighbor, Sarah came over to work on my foot I felt a little pain. She did adjust a few things in my foot that needed to be lined back up (also stated that my calves are really tight). I need a good calf rub down! Another doctor I saw said that my 2nd toe (the one longer than my big toe ;)) might be overlapping on my middle toe… So I am trying to separate my toes so I don’t irritate the nerves right there. That could also be the reasoning of the pain. So I have sterile strips rolled up and put between my toes… Yeah, I walked around all day with my toes that way. And of course… Icing my foot.
It did began to snow hard soon after we finished our 42:56 min run. We ran 5.3 miles (7:59 pace). It felt good after I was done. 🙂

Then I had Joy School at my house today. The kids were good and they listened really well. This is my last full week of teaching Joy School before the end!

We hung out at my neighbor’s house (Megan’s) and then I headed off for track practice. I didn’t take the kids today because it was way too cold outside… My 2 older girls went to a play at the Hale Theatre (a kids production) and they loved it. They went with my friend Rebecca W and her 2 kids (and we kept her youngest at our house). It was nice for her to take them!!!
At practice, I had one of my former runners come visit (she received a scholarship for running) and helped me run the practice. We combined a workout together. We had the kids run a mile and a half warm up. They came back and ran for 6 minutes as hard as they could. Had a 5 minute break (jog and walking), ran 4 minutes as hard as they could. Had a 5 minute break. Ran 2 minute hard; 5 minute break; 1 minute all out… Cool down for 2 miles. It was tough!

After I fed the kids (and Corom) dinner, Z (our Foriegn exchange student) and I went to a church activity for all the women. We had a great time and the dinner was good! It was a nice program they put on.

We watched the Bachelor tonight… It was the last episode. It was a good one. 🙂 Thanks ladies (and Corom for joining us many times)… It was fun this season.
Lots to do today!
Oh the joy I felt this morning! I woke up at 5 to 6, put my winter running clothes on, stepped out the door and met up with my friend Amber. I heard Angels singing as I was about to start my 1st run in almost 3 weeks. I probably said at least 30 prayers that my foot would feel okay. My foot did but oh my legs were tired. 🙂 Even with biking and swimming, I still struggled a little bit. But I was totally okay with that!!! It felt good to be out and running. We ran 5 miles in 40:40 (averaged about a 8:05 pace). When I came home and took my beloved running shoes off, the ball of my foot did hurt a little bit. I did ice (like I do almost every day) and that helped… I am going to run again tomorrow. So we shall see… I have a race this Saturday but I will run it and not race. It was good to go out… It helped me mentally-big time!

Running set my day just right… I helped in my kindergartener’s class today. I set the 2 younger ones up nicely in the hallway (next to where I do the testing)…

Garfield did wonders! 😉 I saw my oldest walking with her class to lunch and I just had to take a picture. Then I had to take a couple more. Gosh… I love my girls! So cute!

I cleaned house all day (I was in one of those moods) before the girls and I left for track practice. At track I was able to catch my youngest doing Burpees with the team…
I tried to catch the others on video but I was too late. It was funny to watch them. I remember the 1st little while, my girls were so shy to be around the track kids but now they think they are one of them. The distance kids went on a 45 min easy to moderate run. I took a picture of the sprinters because I was too lazy to go out and take a picture of our distance kids on a run.

We had a couple of families over for dinner/family night. The Guenter’s and the Peery’s. Both are really cool, fun families. We had a great time (well I did… I guess I can’t speak for the others).

This was not the best picture but by the time I remembered to take a picture, everyone was walking out the door and the other 2 ladies and I were cleaning up… Well they were cleaning and I was taking their picture. 🙂
We put the kids to bed and I ran to the church to help set up for a dinner they are having tomorrow night for all the ladies in our ward boundaries.

Then I went straight to my friend’s pool. I was late showing up and they were in the middle of their stomach workout. (I’m glad I showed up late.)

It looks like their in a birthing class or something. I only swam/tread water/jogged for 23:32. Not long but I got something in. I came home to a clean kitchen! Corom is so great!!! It’s late and I have to get to bed.
